- The sound of his nails on the wooden floor
- When you'd read a newspaper on the floor and he'd come and stand/sit/lie on it to get attention.
- When sitting on the couch, he'd always come and lie down in front of it.
- The way he'd scratch his ear pathetically to get scratchies.
- The couple of times when we came home, and saw him from outside in the window, because he had climbed up on our dinner table.
- He'd always find the kitchen in every house, and claim it as his terrain.
- He'd lick your legs when you came out of the shower and they were still wet.
- He'd always bark at that one sound that comes on the TV at the end of a TV show.
- He always seemed to understand when I was sad.
- When he always got so excited when it snowed - he would run like a puppy and scoop snow into his mouth.
