- 1.10. Saw three foxes on my walk home at 5am, I followed one to the graveyard but I was too afraid to go very far as it was quite dark and eery. But it still made me very happy.
- 2.10. I've been here for exactly a month now! The time's gone by so fast, but it also feels like I've been here for ages (in a good way).

- 5.10. Had a fantastic day - bought a pretty new dress, ate wonderful spaghetti, enjoyed a friend's nice company and even at home my cardigan still has the lovely scent of incense.

- 16.10. My dad visited me during the weekend and it was lovely; we went to Glamis Castle, drove around (and got a bit lost from time to time), had tasty cocoa and croissants, and I finally got new boots!
- 22.10. Reading week was a haze of philosophy, poetry, French, The Vampire Diaries, coffee and cigarettes, noodles, and feeling wonderfully pretentious and intellectual.

- 26.10. Writing a film essay is a good excuse for watching nouvelle vague movies (je veux aller à Paris)
- 28.10. Met two actors at an arts bar, it was brilliant and the other one is cute. Had an altogether great night/evening.
- 29.10. Jean-Pierre Léaud, there is something endearing about him.
- 30.10. An evening of ups and downs ended with a down, but I still got to dance with a boy I really like and I'm still smiling like a silly person. (and I feel like such a teenager)
- 31.10. Halloween - held a séance that scared me to death, walked around town and campus laughing at scantily clad girls and other hilarious costumes, and had a pretty great night actually. (though I am a bit sad that I didn't have the time to think of a costume)
