Explanation Behind Sekais: Every sekai begins with a person having strong emotions and being sent to their new "sekai" where Miku and another vocaloid will introduce the person to their new sekai. A sekai is the place where they and their band member's feelings are and where their songs are created. You can view their sekais in game, there are 5, one for each band. Leo has the School Sekai, MMJ has the Stage Sekai, VBS has the Street Sekai, WxS has the Wonderland Sekai, and N25 has the Empty Sekai. Group Origins:

  • Leo/need: Ichika, Saki, Shiho, and Honami all used to be friends as kids, but then Saki got sick and in the hospital so they all split up their friend group. They started noticing each other again at school, then when Saki came back to school, she tried to bring them back together. Ichika was transported into the School Sekai. BOOM. leo need.
  • More More Jump: Shizuku, Airi, and Haruka had all been in different toxic idol groups, and gave up on their dreams, but Minori had a very strong dream to start an idol group. Minori recruited the 3 of them and Minori was transported into the Stage Sekai. BOOM. more more jump.
  • Vivid Bad Squad: Akito, Toya, and Kohane all went to An and her dad's coffee shop. They all teamed up to become better and more popular than their rival, RAD WEEKEND. An's dad is super supportive and helps them with their practices, emotional support, and lets them use his coffee shop for practices. Kohane and An both were transported to the Street Sekai. BOOM. vivid bad squad.
  • Wonderlands x Showtime: Tsukasa and Saki went to watch people perform as children a lot, and he made a promise to Saki that he would become a performer to make her happy. Ever since then, Tsukasa has become obsessed with being a star, but he slowly started forgetting why. He got an opportunity to perform on the Wonder Stage and went to an audition for it. Before Tsukasa's audition, he was transported to the Wonderland Sekai. Rui and Nene, who were childhood friends, both went to audition for it as well. Emu, who already worked at the Wonder Stage hired the 3 of them to work at the Wonder Stage with her, and they formed their musical group. BOOM. wonderlands x showtime.
  • Nightcord at 25:00: Ena and Mizuki both had online aliases and would talk online, but didn't know who each other were in real life. Mafuyu had a very strict mother, who threatened to take away her safe space, so she ran away from home and asked for Kanade's help. I don't really know how they all came to meet each other but yeah. They had an odd obsession with performing at 1-am, but calling it 25:00 cuz they're edgy ig-? anyways.. BOOM. nightcord at 25:00.

  • Main Events/Explanation:

Explanation: There are these things in Hatsune Miku Colorful Stage called events. The events have a story line with (mainly 5) characters. You can build your team with the specific sign, characters, and cards for the event, to get higher event points. Event points add up, and the higher event points you have, the higher your rank will be on the event leaderboard. There are 15 million people in Hatsune Miku Colorful Stage, so it's pretty tricky to get a high ranking. The higher the ranking you have, the better the rewards. Events are usually just fun little things, but some have huge meanings and change the storyline of the game in insane ways. There are a few major events that changed the whole course of the game, that I will explain.

  • Hatsune Miku: Colorful Stage x Sanrio Crossover Event: This event brought 6 Sanrio characters including Hello Kitty, Kuromi, My Melody, Cinnamoroll, Pochacco, and Pompompurin to the game. A new sekai was born, which was the Sanrio Crossover Sekai. This event brought 6 new 4 star cards. As well as, each character that didn’t get a 4 star card, also got a Sanrio themed 2 star card of theirs! Each of the Sanrio characters I just listed above, has its own card but with one of the actual Project Sekai characters inspired by one of the Sanrio Characters. Hatsune Miku has a Hello Kitty themed card. Ena Shinonome has a Kuromi themed card. Saki Tenma has a Pompompurin card. Airi Momoi has a My Melody card. Toya Aoyagi has a Pochacco card. Emu Otori has a cinnamoroll card. In the sekai, Project Sekai characters and Sanrio characters can have conversations. This event isn't like regular events, as there is no story, only cards. However, on the official Hatsune Miku Colorful Stage website, there is a giveaway and UGC contest specifically for this event.
  • Mizu5: I do not know the proper name for this event, but it is most commonly known as "Mizu5". Mizu5 is probably the biggest event in all of Project Sekai. The character Mizuki Akiyama, we find out that she's transgender, and used to be a male. Mizuki wants to tell Ena that she's trans, but is afraid to. Ena knows that something's up and lets Mizuki know that she wants to listen and will wait for as long as it takes for Mizuki to feel comfortable. A few random boys who knew Mizuki was trans, ran up to Ena and outed her. Mizuki ends up getting afraid and running away, and Mizuki no longer shows up in the game for players. This event is only in Japanese servers and hasn't come to English servers yet, there are no released dates, but the expected time for it to come in English servers is October 26th-27th since English servers are a year behind Japanese servers.

Map: The map in Hatsune Miku Colorful Stage has 2 dimensions, the real world, and the sekais. In the Real World there are 7 places that you can go to, and in the Sekai World there are 5 sekais (now 6 if you count the Sanrio Crossover Event) you can go to! With Crossover events, which aren’t extremely frequent but there have been multiple, a limited time sekai will show up for said event, but when the event is over, the sekai vanishes and it’s back to 5 sekais. The following places are: Real World:

  • Main Street - The street where characters walk to and from places.
  • Scramble Crossing - The main place where characters find each other.
  • Theme Park - A silly little park with rides and enjoyment.
  • Kamiyama High School - Where half the Project Sekai characters go to school.
  • Miyamasuzaka Girls Academy - Where almost every Project Sekai female goes to school.
  • Shopping Mall - You can buy outfits for your characters and stamps of your characters here.
  • Music Shop - This is where you can buy new songs and covers here.

Sekai World:

  • School Sekai - The sekai belonging to Leo/need. This sekai looks like a school classroom.
  • Stage Sekai - The sekai belonging to More More Jump! This sekai looks like a stage with many lights.
  • Street Sekai - The sekai belonging to Vivid Bad Squad. This sekai looks like a street with a restaurant.
  • Wonderland Sekai - The sekai belonging to Wonderland x Showtime. This sekai looks like a theme park.
  • Empty Sekai - The sekai belonging to Nightcord at 25:00. This sekai is a pretty gray emptiness.

Currency: There are 3 different kinds of main currency. Diamonds, coins, and wish pieces. They each have one main purpose.

  • Crystals - Can be earned from daily logins, missions, viewing conversations, viewing event stories, side stories, completing new songs, event exchange, character rank rewards, event rank rewards, or by buying them - Diamonds are used to pull characters from the gacha. If you're doing 1 character, then it's 300 diamonds, if you're doing a 10x (10 character) pull, then it costs 3,000 diamonds.
  • Coins - Can be earned from missions, completing new songs, event exchange, or buying them - Coins are used to buy/upgrade decorations in the sekais.
  • Wish Pieces - Can be earned from trading characters in the green room, trust rank rewards, event exchange, and gaining fan points - Wish pieces are used to upgrade a card's mastery rank or skill level.

Card Training: When training a card, there are 3 different things you can do to increase the talent of a card. The higher a card's talent number is, the better results you get from shows (the C, B, A, & S rankings). A card has 3 different things that can be upgraded

  • Level - You can increase a character's talent by increasing their level, and there are 2 things that you can do to do that. You can either play a bunch of shows with that card, and it will begin to increase the level, or you can use Practice Sheets to train the card and increase its talent number. If the card is a 1 star, its max level is 20. If the card is a 2 star, it's max level is 30. If the card is a 3 star, the max level is 40, and its upgraded version is 50. If the card is a 4 star, the max level is 50, and its upgraded version is 60. If the card is a birthday card, the max level is 60.
  • Skill Level - Each card has a skill that can be used to help the player in game, such as increased health, accuracy, score boost, etc. If you increase your skill level, it increases how good your skill is. You can increase your skill level with either Skill Up Sheets or Wish Pieces.
  • Mastery Rank - Each card can have 5 mastery ranks. Once it reaches 5, then it is fully maxed out. These ranks can be increased using Wish Pieces or Wish Jewels.

Symbols and Uses: There are these symbols in Project Sekai, that are used on the corners of cards, turned into charms/gems for currency, and used for decoration classifying. There are 5 different symbols which are:

  • Cute Symbol - A red star.
  • Happy Symbol - An orange heart.
  • Pure Symbol - A green plant.
  • Cool Symbol - A blue 6-sided star.
  • Mysterious Symbol - A purple moon.

These symbols are turned into charms and gems. The charms and gems can be used to buy side stories, and decorations. Every card you get will have one of these 5 symbols on the corner as well, which can be used to help classify the card.

  • Outfits/Supplies:

You can make and swap outfits, hairstyles, and accessories for your characters to wear. To make the outfits it requires a specific amount of thread and cloth. Thread and cloth are 2 items that you can earn from doing shows, event exchange, etc. I personally don't do outfits unless it's to increase character rank, so I don't have much information on this topic, but they're pretty!! You can also get more outfits if you pull a 4 star card from the gacha that has an included outfit/accessory, and sometimes a hairstyle.

  • Bonus Energy:

Bonus Energy are these greenish blueish battery looking capsules that can help with your shows. When you do a show depending on how much Bonus Energy you're using (maximum is 10) the higher event points, rewards, and exp you'll receive. If you run out of Bonus Energy, a new Bonus Energy will appear every 30 minutes, and won't stop until you've reached 10. You can go over 10 in your Bonus Energy holder, but you can't go over 99. It wont let you use more than 10 Bonus Energy per singular show, but you can adjust the amount of how much you use per show. You can also refill your Bonus Energy using diamonds (10 diamonds per Bonus Energy), Bonus Energy capsules, or extra Bonus Energy increasing items (mainly come from events).

  • Show Types:

A show is when you pick a song, difficulty, group, speed, and perform the show by doing the tippy tappy things and then you get rewards. Shows are the most efficient way to earn rewards. You can receive diamonds, coins, gems, charms, skill up scores, practice sheets, thread, cloth, etc. There are 5 different show types that you can play, which are: - Solo Show - You perform regular shows by yourself. - Co-op Show - You perform shows with up to 4 other people, and vote on a song. - Cheerful Show - Like a Co-op Show, but you're competing in teams against another group of 5, and the songs are randomly generated. - Challenge Show - You pick one specific character (that you have unlocked for Challenge Shows) and create a team with cards only from that character, and do a show trying to increase that one character's Challenge Show ranking. You can only do 1 Challenge Show a day. - Ranked Match - You go against one other person, the songs are randomly generated, and you try to be the most accurate, whoever wins, goes up a rank and whoever loses goes down a rank.

Thank you for taking time to read my 24 paragraphs!! This is all of the Hatsune Miku Colorful Stage information that I believe is important for one to begin playing the game. Sure I left out a few things, but the few that I left out were pretty self explanatory and unnecessary! I hope you find this information useful!
