I've been living with schizophrenia my whole life. I went so long without knowing what was "wrong" with me, but when I finally got diagnosed I didn't want to accept it. The past 3 years have been a weird ride of different medications, doctors, therapists, counseling, support groups, relapses, and struggles. I see things, hear things, feel things, have delusions, catatonia, and disorganized behavior. Sometimes I sleep too much and other times I have insomnia. I'm searching for a balance between being dependent on medication and therapy, to learning how to deal with my symptoms on my own with minimal help.
