• Apply for grad school
• Have a happy healthy baby

Every cook has something that is fairly simple that they just can't manage to do. Here's my shortlist:

• coffee - it's like being cursed, and I have tried several methods and coffee makers. Nothing helps. I've all but given up on it.
• hard boiled eggs - I can never get the consistency right. Either they come out still soft, or too hard.
• meringue - I made good meringue once. I have no idea how to replicate it though, so it must have been a fluke

• iPhone headphones. It's ridiculous.
• House keys. Yep, not very organized.
• Whatever id I need at the moment.
• My head. Or I would, if it weren't attached to my body.

• walking: you never know what you're going to run into, and it will keep you from brooding
• working out: see walking...
• cooking: being busy is always good
• looking at photos of the cats when they were kittens
• looking at one of these menus
• watching kid laugh with her dad
