Park Jimin is the worst Chosen One who’s ever been chosen, Jeongguk says. And Jeongguk may be evil, and a complete jerk, and a dangerous vampire, but he’s right.
Officer Jeon has his eyes on Mr. Adorable.
Officer Min has a strange neighbor he can't seem to keep out of his life.
Captain Kim finds comfort in his son's homeroom teacher.
Well, cops need some loving too, right?
Jungkook has always known there are lots of ways to drown.
Park Jimin works hard, and everyone knows it. His boss likes him, his coworkers adore him, and he knows it's just a matter of time until he graduates from the ranks of the desk farm and into something better. All he has to do is conquer every single feeling of inadequacy he's ever had. Simple enough.
Job-stealing newcomer Jeon Jeongguk doesn't seem to work for much of anything at all, and he's more than arrogant enough for them both. But he's certainly well-connected, tall and rich and good at everything. Jimin hates him on sight, and by the end of the first week he's sure they're eternal enemies.
And sure, Jeongguk may be cute, even hot underneath his suits, but Jimin doesn't care about that.
Not at all.
Jungkook loses all memory of the last five years of his life.
Jimin is scared he will never love him again.
“You broke my heart, Jimin.” Jeongguk cries.
“You broke my heart, and you were never here to watch me bleed.”
Jimin and Jeongguk were only 18 when they moved to New York City and got married, sure that they were soulmates and destined to last forever. Four unfortunate years later, they're divorced and haven't seen a single sight of each other. That is until Jimin's signed as a model in the company Jeongguk works as a photographer for.

The man in the suit stepped forward. He bowed deeply, holding his position as he spoke. “Jeon Jungkook,” the agent introduced himself. “It’s an honor to serve you.”
Jimin narrowed his eyes, scrutinizing the tall man once he stood back up to his full height. “Jeon Jungkook?”
“Yes, sir.”
Jimin cringed. “Sir?” he echoed in horror. “Don’t call me sir. That’s what everyone calls my dad.”
The man nodded. “Yes, sir.”
Jimin and Jeongguk are roommates from two separate worlds. Jimin is an introvert, Jeongguk is an extrovert. Being university students and struggling to pay rent, bills and tuition fees means they are compelled to turn to one last solution: entering a homemade porn contest for money.
“You weren’t this shy in your messages, Kook-ah.”
It’s Jungkook’s turn to blush. “You make me a little nervous.”
“It’s just me. Don’t have to be nervous around me.” Jimin’s hand slides down the rest of Jungkook’s arm and comes to rest on his knuckles, and reflexively, the younger turns his hand over to press their palms together. Their fingers lace through each other and Jimin gives a squeeze. “I’ll be good.”
A born to be a star, rising actor, gets casted for the promising drama Korea is anxiously waiting for. But luck has its way, and his lead partner is the last person he’d want to step a foot in the set with.
“I mean a muse,” explained Yoongi, eyes traveling to Hoseok. “Someone that makes you feel the shots. Not only take them.”
Jeongguk snorted. “You’re just whipped.”
“Maybe,” agreed Yoongi, winking. “But it works.”
There's a new Tuesday night regular at the ice skating rink Jungkook works at. He might be a little obsessed.
He was struggling to find the words, to find a way to explain to Jimin that no matter how far apart they were, no matter how long they were apart for, he would always be his baby.
But then it hit him, he already knew the words.

Jimin is a brownie. There's a lot that comes with the job description-- fixing clothes, keeping the household up and running, tending cattle. And all that would be fine and dandy, if only Jimin liked his work. (He doesn't.)
Jeongguk is a Nightmare. Literally and figuratively. When Jimin loses his job and gets reassigned to keep Jeongguk's manor running, Jimin isn't afraid in the slightest.
It doesn't matter that Jeongguk's rumored to be eccentric, brash, and cold because Jimin has a job to do, and then he'll be onto the next mind-numbing assignment. It's going to be fine.
And then Jimin actually meets him. The reality is so much worse.
