- Fashion Week 2008, made friends with a photographer and fashion designer on the subway.
- transferring trains at the 6th ave/14th st station, there was a subway performer playing the sax in that long tunnel connecting the 1-2-3 trains to 6th ave. He was playing the Beatles. A man in a suit had set his briefcase down to sing along.
- on the L train, a young latina yelling at an older white lady for complaining that the train was too crowded with non-whites. oh man - it was bad. but it was good.
