“They say when you fall in love you can’t fall asleep, but now that I’ve met you I feel like I finally can.”
A University AU where Jungkook and Taehyung become roommates. But Jungkook has insomnia and can't fall asleep with other people and Taehyung can't fall asleep alone.
Taehyung is infuriating and Jungkook's always been easy to rile up. Which isn't the best combination, but also isn't the worst, either.
(or: Taekook as hockey fuckboy rivals)
Dramatization. Do not try at home.

12:54 AM is Taehyung on Jungkook’s lap, breath hot against his skin in the freezing cold.
12:57 AM is messy kisses of teeth and tongue and promises of forever hanging off Jungkook’s tongue.
12:59 AM is ‘I love you’s whispered into their skins and Jungkook wants to say more, but he isn’t eloquent until Taehyung is under him, moaning out Jungkook’s name like it’s the only word he’s ever known.
taehyung always has bad ideas. and jeongguk thinks this might be the best.
Taehyung's professor tells him that he can't do a fourth art project on fish, for some strange reason.
AKA: Taehyung draws a boy that he happens to sit in front of in the library and falls in love with each individual line.
(a.k.a. jeongguk desperately tries to understand why he can't seem to get a certain kim taehyung out of his head)
(spoiler alert: it's because he doesn't want to)
"Sorry, Jungkookie." Taehyung's voice is garbled over the phone, static and an unwarranted hitch in his breath threatening to overcome what little Jungkook has of Taehyung right now. "I'm still trying to figure out where home is."
Taehyung sets the flowers down on the dining table, plucking the card off the little holder. "Dearest Taehyung, just wanted you to know that I'm thinking about you. I hope you're thinking about me too. Love--" he pauses and squints before cocking an eyebrow and pursing his lips. "Hyung, why is the boss of your little boy band gang professing his love for me?"
Yoongi drops the noodles on the floor with a loud curse as he burns his hand.
Or, Taehyung's been trying his hardest to avoid Yoongi's criminal life for a long ass time, but a cute kid and his infuriating father keep pulling him deeper into the mix.
"We both reached for the last box of Froot Loops and I don't care that we're both adults I will fight you" AU
aka: in which Taehyung fights Jungkook to the death for a box of artificially flavored and colored loops.
Jeon Jeongguk is not afraid to die.
So he thinks.
It's not until he is staring into the eyes of his soulmate, black spots beginning to splotch his vision, chest on fire, far too many dark petals trying to come up his esophagus at once, that he's terrified. It's too much. Tears sting his eyes, and he looks desperately at his soulmate who looks just as desperate right back, his world beginning to teeter. His throats closes up, and he can't breathe.
Jeongguk thinks he's never been more scared in his life.
In his best interest, Jungkook feels he should mention that he is not, in fact, one of those people who believes therapy is just for crazy people. He also feels he should include that he himself is not crazy.
Although, that last point is disputable.
Soulmates are supposed to be rare and enviable.
At the height of his career, Jungkook can't believe he's found his; a beautiful Omega. He also can't believe that his soulmate has rejected him.
Taehyung has struggled with being an Omega since he presented. He doesn't want to be forced into another dominating relationship but the appearance of Jungkook is upsetting his wishes.
The first thing Jeongguk saw when he neared the house, his foot heavy on the gas pedal, were the flames. They were strangely beautiful in the afternoon light, but also dangerous and hideous as they enveloped the old, wooden walls of the house they’ve for years used as a get-away for when a mission took a wrong turn. They made his heart beat faster as his fingers tightened around the wheel, his jaw clenching in determination.
Loving Jeongguk has always been something that comes naturally to Taehyung, and because of that, he struggles to contain that love within his own heart. But as his affection for his bandmate grows stronger along with the group's fame, having a relationship with Jeongguk will come with the risk of ruining their career — and ending Jeongguk's dream is something Taehyung could never forgive himself for.
Yet despite guilt and fear, young love prevails, as it so often does.
"Sometimes I wonder whether you'd be better off without me. Whether you really need me at all."
Taehyung has always doubted his necessity to the group, as well as to Jungkook. Usually a knock on the head would suffice to bring him back to his senses. But this time, it seems someone was listening to his request. Now, everything has changed. He's in a world where Jungkook and the rest of the group are still famous, but he isn't.
Kim Taehyung had never coped well when there was an angry alpha around, no matter that he wasn't the object of their fury. Wisely choosing to keep his mouth shut, he had ignored the flaring annoyance building up inside of his chest at being treated like a frail and delicate porcelain doll who did not know any better, once again.
He was not frail.
He was not delicate.
And he was also not anywhere near ignorant.
"And how do you suggest we do that?" Alpha Jeon asked eventually, tiredly taking a seat when he realised that Alpha Kim was not about to open his mouth any time soon.
"How else, Alpha Jeon," Alpha Park said easily, an eerie smile taking over her lips as she regarded both the Kings levelly, "Just like we have sealed our alliances with one another, of course."
Taehyung forgets his strength kink until Jungkook picks him up during a group project meeting.
Jeongguk is a rigorous trainer at a pretentious gym. Taehyung is a lazy, moderately successful painter with a Burger King addiction who decides he should probably hire Jeongguk to, you know, help him get fit or whatever.
Jimin is a delivery guy.
In which Taehyung gets into Jeongguk's pants. Literally.
If sugar baby conventions weren't a thing before, they are now.
If you can read this, take another shot.
After years of longing, he finally felt it – the world suddenly turning slow, mind awakening just like downing a week’s dosage of caffeine, and heart bursting a mix of emotions he could never explain.
The longing which is now satisfied by this ethereal guy standing in front of him, whose hand is held against his. He looked into those dazzling doe eyes and he swears he could see fucking galaxies in it.
“Uh, I’m Tae –“ He was stunned as the guy pulled his hand out of Taehyung’s grip.
“I’m sorry but I can’t do this.” He said as he then turned his back on Taehyung and started walking away fast.
Taehyung froze, mind completely blank as he stared at his hand still in mid-air, empty of his soulmate’s hold.
Or Taehyung is his soulmate but he already belongs to someone else AU
jeongguk learns about second chances through kim taehyung.
(or a fic where jeongguk travels back in time to stop taehyung comitting suicide)
They say that opposites attract in the best way possible. Kim Taehyung didn't mean to make Jeon Jeongguk question his sexuality, but he did. And Jeon Jeongguk sure as hell didn't mean to make Kim Taehyung fall in love with him, but look where they end up.

Part 1 of the One Time’s a Charm series.
Two senior boys being left alone on a Saturday night with video games doesn't sound like a bad idea to Jeongguk's parents, especially when their son is straight as a board. Little do they know that Kim Taehyung made Jeon Jeongguk question his sexuality two years ago.
Part 2 of the One Times a Charm series.
The earth is surrounded by a universe that doesn't care, and filled with people that do. When something is out of place, the universe will correct it, no matter what the cost.
Part 3 of the One Times a Charm series.
take a deep breathe and start at the beginning
tell them how we first met tell them how we shared our dreams even your weirdest ones
no, keep that as our secret
tell them that this is that this has to be one of the happiest days of your life.
OR the one where Taehyung and Jeongguk just keep missing each other
“How many times have I said that to you before?” Taehyung asked quietly, tone weighed down in desolation, crying out with masterfully concealed pain. Pain that only Jungkook could pick out.
Taehyung approaches Jungkook one night to make a deal.
OR:
Taehyung is tired of how Jungkook treats Hoseok so he comes up with a compromise.
Perhaps one day, we can understand that some endings don't turn out the way we want them to.
if you have a soul mate, the morn of your fourteen birthday the words that indicate who your soul mate is are inscribed on the inside of your wrist. it’s no cause for celebration — these words are the last words your soul mate will ever say. some people are lucky and manage to spend a long life with the person of their choosing and find out when they’re old and grey that this person was their soul mate all along. however, the vast majority of the population find out when it’s much too late. to many, the words on their wrist serve as a reminder that true happiness may never be theirs.
Taehyung nearly chokes, but only nearly. Instead he raises an eyebrow and puts on the most suave smile he can manage. Hopes he looks far more collected than his for-some-reason racing heartbeat would let on, more suit-and-wine than elementary-schooler-with-a-new-crush. “You like me?”
Jeongguk blushes, and looks at his feet. He’s smiling. “Of course.”
“Really?” Taehyung says. “Like? Or like like?”
(So much for suit-and-wine.)
[ a soulmate au ]
Taehyung travels to Hawaii by himself for his honeymoon, his husband having left him mere days before their wedding, and in the middle of his mourning, meets Jeongguk. They pretend to be on their honeymoon to get free stuff, but end up getting much more than free meals in the end.
Cold hearted mafia boss Jeon Jeongguk is in for a rude awakening when he meets Taehyung, a feisty runaway he can't stop thinking about.
[or: Jeongguk's men kidnapp a boy for beating up a prostitute, life ensues.]
When Taehyung fails to hit his high note in Stigma during his debut performance, he's sent to vocal lessons. (And of course his vocal coach just has to be hot.)
In which Jungkook begins to doubt his relationship with Taehyung.
Jeon Jungkook is one of Seoul's leading corporate attorneys, and when he isn't making his clients billions, he's taking care of his son. All seems to be going well, until he gets called to the principle's office. Don't get him wrong, he's seen his fair share of principle's offices growing up, but Jinyoung was different.
Kim Taehyung was one of Seoul's most creative architects, on the fast track to becoming the top designer at his firm, until a sudden accident killed his brother and sister-in-law, leaving their four year old son in his care. Two years later, they're making things work. It's taken some time, but Taehyung is finally in the swing of things. Well, until he gets a call that Minjun has been caught fighting at school. Taehyung is ready for a lot of things, but he's definitely not ready to meet Jeon Jungkook...
There is a dick on his face. There is a big, bold dick drawn onto his face in black permanent marker, and though Jeongguk scrubs and scrubs and scrubs until his forehead is red, he only succeeds in smudging it around.
He pumps a fistful of soap onto the towel and renews his efforts with twice the vigor. He has hagwon later today, and he’d rather step on Legos than go there like this. Maybe, he thinks, pausing for a second to examine the state of the dick, his parents will allow him to skip just this once. Does this count as a medical emergency? Jeongguk isn’t sure, but his hands are shaky and the towel is shaky and he’s growing more panicked by the second because it won’t come off.
He’s going to die. He’s going to die of public humiliation in front of everyone, and then he’s going to come back to life and kill his soulmate, because who the fuck draws a dick on their forehead knowing full well that it’ll show up on someone else, too?
AU where Taehyung has a habit of putting stickers on random things whenever he's stressed. So when Jeongguk, his roommate of two years, sees a part of their coffee table covered in cute variations of puppies and kittens, he wordlessly opens his arms for the older to cuddle into.
or
Taehyung has a bad day and /the love of his life/ his roommate comforts him. Confessions are made and stickers are wasted.
It's an alpha dominated world and "beta" Kim Taehyung just wants to live his life to the fullest.
Now, if only he could remember where he put his surppressants.
When Taehyung asks for a divorce, he doesn’t expect that Jeongguk will ask him to stay.
Jeongguk thought he had his life all planned out: slay the vampires and don’t get killed. But when he loses everything he had, Kim Taehyung appears with centuries of loneliness behind him, and a new life for Jeongguk to have.
“But lately,” Taehyung’s mind flashes back to the instance where Jeongguk had literally brought them outside when Taehyung suggested they ‘go out.’ “It’s not the same anymore. We’re on two different wavelengths and it’s fucking weird considering most friendships like this are ruined after the two people date, not before one of them even gets to confess.”
(or: 5 times when Taehyung tries to confess and Jeongguk just doesn't get it + the 1 time he does)
In a world where being a Hero means you aren't allowed to be in love, Jeongguk and Taehyung chose each other over their identities as superheroes. But when Jeongguk gets an offer to return to that world, what will he choose?
or, the kind-of, maybe The Incredibles taekook au
Jeongguk is good at his job. He's good at leading his employees and maintaining the family company's top spot in the business, but he's not so good at dealing with distractions. Namely his most troublesome employee, Taehyung. That is, until he gets trapped in an elevator with the source of all his distractions.
Jungkook makes a promise to Taehyung when they’re still in elementary school, but, for the record, when he'd made that promise he hadn't expected Taehyung to be putting himself in danger.
When Jungkook decided to ignore the weather warnings and brave the rain to go grocery shopping, the last thing he expected to come home with was a stray hybrid named Taehyung.
“Taehyung, I don’t think this is a good idea,” Jimin complains as he follows closely behind Taehyung, “I mean, what do you know about this kid? He looks like some punk.”
Taehyung rolls his eyes and laughs, “You know better than to judge a book by its cover.” He spots Jeongguk standing by some lockers, probably one of them is his, but he doesn’t look like he’s going anywhere.
“See? He looks lost,” Taehyung points out, “It’s our job, as seniors, to offer a helping hand to new students.”
aka. taehyung learns what it means to have friends, that not everyone is as mean as those bullies that pull on his ears and make fun of his tail.
Taehyung lifts his head out of Jeongguk’s shoulder after a minute, a small smirk playing on his lips as he looks his boyfriend in the eyes. “You remember what I promised you this morning if you guys win?” He asks, voice sultry as his hand trails up and down Jeongguk’s bicep. He makes sure to give it a nice squeeze.
Jeongguk swallows. “Yes.”
