Ignatius-he's the ghost that's haunting a house i move into because it's the house he died in. we become friends and then eventually realize that we're soulmates, even though neither of us knew that that could even be a thing between the living and the dead.

Cornelius-he's a wizard/warlock who, as a sort of tourist attraction and something to occupy the locals, embeds a sword in a stone. unbeknownst the everyone, the sword can only be removed by his soulmate, which he figures is as good as unremovable. but then!!!!! i move into the local hotel for a short stay following an escape from a bad situation, and end up pulling out the sword!! what follows is basically us becoming roommates bc idk what i'll be doing after my hotel stay anyway <3

however neither of us wants to impose on the other even though we Know we're soulmates, so there's a long period of time where we're Just Friends even though we both have romantic feelings for each other lol. we both end up thinking well. maybe they dont want to be together if they're not making a move?

Erastus-he's a killer designated by the Goddess to kill sacrifices for Her. i'm his best friend of many years. he kills his marks by entering romantic relationships with them, getting them to fall in love with him, and killing them when they're happy and comfortable. he sees it as a kindness, views these relationships as Real bc he really does care for them.

but then....the Goddess designated Me as his mark <3

Otis-he's a lover i have in my dreams, transcending the need for a first meeting or awkward getting to know one anothers. we just Are. we both think the other is purely dreamed up, but in reality we're each real human people dreaming of each other.

Emery-he's one of my closest friends. i get trapped in a time loop until i tell him my feelings for him, and end up making it Excruciating bc im very afraid of confessing.

Percival-he works at an antique shop i frequent and is into the supernatural and the occult. i get trapped in a time loop and end up coming to him for help, as he's basically the only one i can think of who might believe me. eventually i realize the key to getting out is actually me confessing to him, a feat which i fear is too much for me to do.

Rosen/Helianthus-we're both superheroes with secret identities, and neither of us knows who the other is outside of costume. but in actuality out civilian identities and superhero identities both know each other, we just don't know they're connected. coincidentally i have a crush on both of his <3
