- I find the artwork extremely aesthetically appealing and I like animation in general-the visuals are a big part of my interest because I just love the way it looks!
- I love the characters. They are relatable and complex and it's just easy to get attached to them!
- I love the imaginative storylines
- I love that they often bring in meaningful themes
- I love the emphasis on friendship, teamwork, and self-sacrifice
- There are certain crudities that are more common in American shows that rarely show up in anime and anime isn't concerned about pushing political correctness onto us.
- I can learn more and expand my mind and have a more cross-cultural viewpoint
- I enjoy Japanese humor (sometimes, anyway!)
- some of the plot/character tropes that I like get used in anime, whereas American TV shows don't shows them as much anymore - or if they do they don't play them straight.
