- Pokemon (used to watch it with Dan, definitely haven't seen all the episodes)
- Ouran High School Host Club (a favorite!<3 Hilarious, love the parody, love the characters so much, Tamaki Suoh is my #1 anime crush, got me into watching anime--I watched the show, couldn't forget it, re-watched it, then rewatched it some more, then finally realized maybe I should explore some more anime. Watched first semester freshman year.)
- Punie the Magical Witch Girl (some--it was weird and I didn't like it!)
- Fruits Basket 2001(I liked it, but once I read the manga, it was so much better that the anime seems bad in comparison. It actually is a very good anime, but I wish they'd make a faithful-to-the-manga adaptation.I watched it cuz I heard it was similar to Ouran--I can see why it was recommended, though it has plenty of differences too. The manga is my favorite thing.Watched first semester sophomore year, started reading manga then too. Sort of took a break reading to watch Death Note, continued the manga and was super obsessed)
- Death Note (another favorite!<3 Plenty to think about, truly brilliant. Had heard of it before but thought it was like "Isn't this guy so cool? He kills criminals!" and I couldn't condone that. Then I took an online "what anime guy should be your boyfriend" quiz, hoping for an Ouran or Fruits Basket answer, but I got L. I had seen something about him on Pinterest but really knew nothing--the description explained that he was a detective trying to find the murderer and then I realizing the killer had opposition got me excited. I thought I'd love it and started watching it with great anticipation; it did not disappoint.)
- Sailor Moon (formulaic but fun, been watching little bits at a time)
- The Wallflower (interesting--extremely weird, but manages to entertain. Watched it Christmas break 2014)
- The Brothers' Conflict (heroine had no personality, plot was just 13 brothers all in love with their step sister. The dub wasn't out at the time, so I watched with subtitles. Not worth rewatching. Watched Christmas 2014 break.)
- Fullmetal Alchemist (Good, but Brotherhood is way better. Watched Christmas 2014 break)
- Okami-san and her Seven Companions (the narrator cracked me up--watched spring 2015 semester. Learned about it through a Furuba fan page of Facebook)
- Maid-sama! (Very good, though Usui was kind of pervy sometimes--watched spring break 2015)
- Say I Love You (So cute, loved the main character, the male lead was more respectful than some of them are. Watched spring 2015 break)
- Daily Lives of High School Boys (had some really funny moments! If they ever release an English version, I definitely want to watch it! Watched Spring 2015 break)
- Watamote (just watched the first two episodes; wasn't that impressed--spring break 2015)
- Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood (AMAZING I love it! <3 Watched summer 2015.)
- Sword Art Online (loved it! Watched summer 2015. Kirito/Kazuto is precious.)
- Puella Magi Madoka Magica (Watched summer 2015. Wasn't sure I'd finish, but I did, although it was weird sometimes. Episode 10 was my favorite--love the time travel thing.)
- Soul Eater (Loved it! A favorite! Watched summer 2015. Really wonderful characters, great fantasy world, good balance of action and humor. I knew about Death the Kid beforehand--he is indeed great. Also adored Crona and felt really bad for him, loved Soul & Maka, Black Star grew on me, Patty & Liz are great, Excalibur was hilarious)
- Hetalia: Axis Powers (Started summer 2015 and finished beginning of junior year. Love the personified countries aspect. Conflicted with sub vs dub because the dub changes things--sometimes it's funnier, but sometimes it's out of character and dirty. :( I love the voices though. The sub has strengths--namely it's more innocent--but the dub has better voices, I just prefer dubs, and some of the jokes are funnier. Which should I like better?! Don't know. Both have merit. Really wish the dub left out all the inappropriate stuff cuz then it'd be great.)
- Nana (Summer 2015. Has merit, but really not my favorite. Not interested in watching shows where everyone's fornicating and people are getting pregnant and all that stuff.Interesting but got kind of tiresome, hardly know what to say or how to feel but definitely not my favorite. Last episode I watched was episode 35, decided that was enough)
- My Little Monster (Watched Summer 2015, too bad it didn't have an English dub or it would've been even better!)
- Hetalia: World Series (watched Fall 2015, next 2 Hetalia seasons. The way anime seasons are it's hard to know if I should lump them all together or record when I watched the seasons with their own names.)
- Hetalia: The Beautiful World (watched Fall 2015. Annoyed that the English dub messed up some of the lines/episodes but it is still good.)
- Yuki Yuna is a Hero (Watched November 2015,about 1/3 at college and 2/3 on Thanksgiving break. I liked the characters & liked that it really didn't have inappropriate stuff)
- Baccano! (Watched Thanksgiving Break 2015. THAT WAS SO GOOD! I loved a lot of the characters, and even those I didn't love were well-crafted. I felt sooo bad for Czes, Isaac and Miria were hilarious, Jacuzzi and Firo are both precious, loved how Eve is a Christian, and I could go on. I love the setting, love the jumping around and love how things don't seem connected but then you find out how they are... it was so good. Love this show.)
- Spiral (started Christmas break 2015. Problem is, it's hard to attain legally, and I didn't want to shell out a bunch of money, so I only got to watch half of it. I like it, although I think Ayumu's voice actor is a little lackluster.)
- Code Geass (Watched season 1 Christmas break 2015. A definite favorite! So so good! Loving the characters and the storyline. Great English voice acting. Wish there was no fan service, but it isn't too bad. The last few episodes of this were HEARTBREAKING! Now I need to watch season 2 but the Part 1 DVD is crazy expensive. Season 1 had such a cliffhanger ending though.)
- Azumanga Daioh (Christmas break 2015. I enjoyed this anime. I really liked the teachers, Miss Yukari and Nyamo. They were funny. I also enjoyed the personalities of the main girls. Tomo was my favorite girl, I think--I liked her voice actress and her energy and lack of common sense were really funny. Chiyo was cute, Osaka's crazy theories were so funny, Sakaki's cat-struggles were adorable. Sometimes I think it didn't translate into English as well, but it was a good show.)
- Mushi-Shi (Spring 2016. Not as much a binge-watching show, because there's no overarching storylines, but I liked watching an episode or two before bed. It was beautifully done, intriguing, had a great old-time-Japan feel, and never had any fan service which was wonderful.)
- Mushi-Shi Next Passage (April 2016, continuation of a beautiful anime. Too bad season 2 has no English dub. Some story lines are absolutely enthralling, and I loved meeting all the people and learning their situations. Well done, clean, very Japanese... quite enjoyable!)
- Riddle Story of Devil (Watched it all on April 24, 2016. I found it really enjoyable! Sounds like the manga is yuri, but fortunately the anime really isn't--the girls who play Romeo and Juliet are supposed to be the yuri couple I guess, but really they can be seen as best friends, with Chitaru seeing the younger girl as a little sister. Basically if you choose to not interpret it as yuri, it isn't. It has friendship, assassination attempts, ancient clans... it's a fascinating story. Basically, I love the storyline and there's really no reason to call it yuri except for people who want to interpret it as such. I love Haru and Tokaku's *friendship*. And friendship is what it is.)
- Romeo x Juliet (May 2016, as an English major anime enthusiast, I LOVED this anime. I wasn't as big on the Escalus part of the plot but everything else was perfect! I loved Romeo and Juliet so much and was also a fan of many other characters like Cordelia, Benvolio, Antonio, and William Shakespeare--I love that they made him a character! It was a much more interesting retelling of Romeo and Juliet, and it's not as if Shakespeare's version isn't interesting! Plus the leads were 100x better than Shakespeare's version of them--honorable, smart, noble, willing to take action and to make sacrifices for the sake of others'. Oh and Lord Montague was a great villain.)
- Gunslinger Girl (watched May 2016. This anime is so sad!)
- Your Lie in April (June 2016. Very good! Beautiful, emotional, lots of classical music, has some funny moments. The ending is really sad! Or bittersweet, I suppose.)
- Durarara!! (July 2016. Very good!)
- Durarara!! x2 (August 2016. The 2nd season of Durarara. It was great!)
- School Rumble (August 2016-September 2016. Quite funny, characters are all very likable. I adored Harima and I wish he and Tenma could be together! And Hanai makes me laugh.)
- Gargantia: On the Verdurous Planet (Watched October 9, 2016. It's a mecha/sci-fi. I loved Ensign Ledo and his character growth. Sometimes there are evolutionary assumptions, but it still works even if you believe in Creation.)
- Bamboo Blade (Thanksgiving Break 2016. So cute, I loved it! It think this was my first sports anime? Even though I have no huge interest in kendo, this show was quite entertaining. The characters were wonderful. I liked that they had both important girl and guy characters. I don't think there's any inappropriate material in this anime, which is really awesome.)
- The Future Diary (watched the first four episodes Thanksgiving break, the rest Christmas break 2016. This was an amazing anime. Episode 26 made me cry soooo much for at least the entire second half of the episode. It made me so happy for the diary users to get happy endings and have their lives go in a way so that they went down better paths. It was sooo upsetting when Yuki was separated fro Yuno and was all depressed, but luckily in the very end of the series he and Yuno are reunited and Yuno has grown up normally but has the old Yuno's memories of the game. So she remembers everything they've gone through, but she's actually sweet and stable. Also some people complain about Yuki but I loved him.)
- Castle Town Dandelion (Watched Christmas 2016. This show was great! I loved that it centered on a large family. Plus, they're royalty, they have super powers, and they're competing for the throne! These are siblings that really care for each other and they each have their own distinct personalities. Very enjoyable! Wish it had more episodes!)
- Cowboy Bebop (Watched Christmas 2016. This is an excellent show - I wonder if the creator of Firefly was inspired by it? My favorites were Spike and "Radical Edward." That ending, though! "Bang!" T_T And why did you have to leave, Ed?! And Faye was just starting to feel she belonged aboard the Bebop when Spike had to go die. This was a great show and the ending was well done but it was sad, too. This show overall had a good blend of humor, drama, action, character development, mystery, and sci-fi.)
- Code: Breaker (Watched December 30-31 2016. My favorite characters were Sakura, Yuki, and Toki. I love that the same person who voiced Kyo, the cat-boy of Fruits Basket, voiced Yuki, the cat-boy of Code: Breaker. It's even funnier cuz in Furuba, Kyo's cousin and rival is named Yuki XD. I felt like there were some issues that were brought up but weren't really answered well, but at least it's a starting point for thought! Plus, the manga is way longer, so obviously the anime ended before the story was supposed to.)
- The Seven Deadly Sins (Season 1 and OVAs watched February 2017, I'll have to watch season 2 when it comes out)
- Danganronpa: The Animation (watched February 21-22 2017. I liked this quite a bit--survival games are always interesting. I also love mysteries and detective stories. I was sad that my favorite character died. I thought the dub was hilarious with all its pop culture references. It would have been an even better show if they had slowed the pacing and let us get to know the characters better and if they had included more of the foreshadowing found in the game. It should've been a 26 episode show. But I still loved it. Over a much longer span of time, I watched Let's Plays of the games: Trigger Happy Havoc, Goodbye Despair, and Ultra Despair Girls. I love the Danganronpa characters and storyline!! I only wish they had made a better-done anime adaptation of the first game and made adaptations of the other games.)
- Princess Tutu (Spring break 2017) I loved it! I loved the dark fairy tale theme, I loved the characters. I think Fakir was my favorite--in the beginning my fave was Mytho but once Fakir's character development started I started loving him the most. I started to think maybe it'd be better for Duck to end up with Fakir instead of Mytho. I love how they made a happy ending that was not the traditional happy ending. Duck doesn't end up with the prince and she turns back into a duck.
- Samurai Pizza Cats (started around April 2017. Finished June 18.)
- Vampire Knight (July 23-August 13, 2017. It was enjoyable, but the ending was a bit disappointing. I liked Zero and Yuki, so it's sad that now Zero plans to eventually kill Yuki. Since Kaname is Yuki's brother, it's hard to get behind their relationship fully - even if bro-sis marriages are normal for vampires in the world of this story. Is Zero going to become a level E or is he safe because of the blood of Kaname, Yuki, and his twin brother? I like Rima and Senri together :))
- Code Geass (August 2017. This time, I re-watched Season 1 and then moved on to Season 2. I love this show so much. It's amazing. Lelouch is really self-sacrificial. He often lets himself be seen as a villain in order to protect others. I cried at the end when he died, sacrificing himself for the sake of a more peaceful world.)
- Danganronpa: The End of Hope's Peak (September 6-8 2017. It was very good, although I think Trigger Happy Havoc will always be my favorite installment. I liked Ryota. SO glad Kyoko was OK at the end. Lots to think about with hope, despair, and the future.)
- Dagashi Kashi season 1(September 9-11, 2017. There's going to be a second season so I'll have to watch that eventually. This is show is funny, light-hearted, and teaches a lot about dagashi. I could do without the fan service, but it is still a fun show.)
- Show by Rock!! (September 2017. Fun show about a music-centric world)
- Assassination Classroom (October 2017. Loved this show! I was so upset that they did indeed assassinate Koro-sensei in the end, especially since it turns out he was a genetically modified human and he meant so much to them and all. Still, wonderful show with great characters.)
- Save Me! Lollipop (Early November 2017. A fun show!)
- Ghost Stories ((Late November-Early December 2017) That English dub is really something... sometimes it is really funny but sometimes I don't like it - I don't like the dirty jokes; they are really the worst. But some of the jokes are funny. I also watched some of the subtitled episodes to find out the real plot, since the dub is basically a joke. The original is way more innocent, which I like, but also a bit lackluster. Still enjoy it though. It's the kind of ghost/"horror" story I like.)
- Blood Lad (Dec. 7-8, 2017. Really great anime! I should read the manga because the anime ended before the manga.)
- Btooom! (January 2018.This anime was great!!! Survival game, something mysterious going on, character development, psychology, romance... too bad it ends so soon, guess I'll have to try to read the manga.)
- Denno Coil (January 2018. Wonderful anime! No fanservice, great characters and emotions, good world-building)
- Haven't You Heard? I'm Sakamoto (January 2018. The last two episodes aren't dubbed yet, so I have to wait for them to come out. Fukase has got Acchan all riled up. The class is graduating, and Sakamoto will be giving a speech. UPDATE: I now finished the series. It was very funny!)
- Kill Me Baby (January 2018. One of those comedy anime that are really weird until you get used to them, but always funny.)
- School-Live (January 20-21 2018. It's great! I really enjoyed this series. The first episode I was like, "Why was this even classified as horror?" as the cute story went on. There were moments where I wondered things ("Why doesn't Miki take more care not to interrupt classes when she seems a polite, socially-conscious girl? Why are their parents OK with them living in the school? Why are they allowed to just put their own signs over the school's signs?" etc.) but I wasn't much preoccupied with them. It seemed just like a silly, cute school comedy. Then we had that wham moment at the end of the first episode, which turned everything on its head and I realized the actual situation was a lot more serious. At the show's end, I was a little unsure if Kei was one of those zombie things, and I think they needed to go deeper into the nature of the disease/situation/why the school was prepared.)
- Amnesia (January 2018. Really enjoyed it!! The heroine, whose name is never discovered, loses her memories and keeps ending up on August 1 in different worlds where everything is changed slightly from the last one.)
- Nyan Koi! (January 2018. Funny cat-filled anime, had moments that made me laugh aloud. Nagi was hilarious and I loved her. I was really confused about her gender in the beginning, lol. Totally cracked up at that cat who was all wimpy and then became super masculine after Jyunpei trained him. I definitely think Kaede is the best love interest for Jyunpei. Sumiyoshi annoys me because she forces herself on him, is violent, and makes him do things he doesn't want to.)
- Elfen Lied (January 2018. This was an amazing show. It made me cry a lot.)
- You're Under Arrest (watched a few episodes, wasn't getting into it. Not that it's bad, I just don't feel like watching it when there are so many other shows out there that I'd probably like more.)
- Kakegurui (started March 23, 2018. Awaiting next season.)
- Aggretsuko (May 8 2018. Great soundtrack minus the metal. Not your typical anime. Relatable.)
- Toradora! (July 5-7 2018. Good English dub. Great character development. Really loved Ryuji. Made me cry at the end.)
- Cardcaptor Sakura (July 2018. I started shipping Sakura with Xiaolang shortly after he appeared, and I was so happy that they ended up being each other's true love! A really cute, sweet anime!)
- Princess Nine (July 2018. Wow, I don't even like baseball and I'm hooked. The characters are great. I have the same birthday as Yuki. Izumi is such a brat. The kind of show I could watch with a non-anime fan. Too bad there weren't more episodes. Women represented well.)
- Super GALS! (July 28 2018-Late Fall 2018)
- Seven Deadly Sins season 2 (February 2019. Very good, great character development with Ban, King and Diane still can't get together, Gowther's a doll, we finally meet Escanor.)
- Hi Score Girl (Early March 2019. Really liked it! Cliffhanger ending, so I assume there's going to be another season.)
- Dagashi Kashi season 2 (Watched April 10, 2019. Another fun season! It's such a nice show to watch.)
- Fruits Basket (April 10, 2019-October 2021. I LOVE IT. Finally, a good adaptation of the manga! Watched as it came out and watched it with numerous groups of people. SO GOOD!)
- Pop Team Epic (April 10-12 2019. Started watching because Airi likes this show. Honestly, I think it's really weird. I guess the humor is too surreal for my tastes. Each episode usually has one or two segments I like or things I thought were clever, but there's a lot that's just dumb or pointlessly weird to me. I don't hate it and it has cool moments, but definitely not a favorite.)
- Death Parade (April 2019. Really interesting, philosophical.)
- Level E (April 19-20 2019. Loved it! This was an awesome combination of sci-fi, horror, and comedy. Loved the power ranger kids. Loved the plot twists and the atmosphere. I was really into it as I watched it!)
- Eureka Seven (May 2019-October 2019. Love Renton!)
- Aggretsuko season 2 (Loved it! Watched June 16, 2019).
- Deadman Wonderland (December 2019. I liked it a lot! very violent and lots of crude language, but an interesting story with a good moral viewpoint. Shiro is cool; I like how she always defends Ganta. Ganta is cool too. Senji is likable even though he's pretty violent. The story ends with a lot of unanswered questions, so it'd be nice to read the manga sometime.)
- Kakegurui xx (season 2 of the show; I think it's even better than the first. Love the OST "Waltz of Trickery" Yumeko really is crazy... interesting cast of characters. Gambling really is horrible, but it is very interesting to watch each game and the outcome. I like that it has a dark feel without getting TOO dark.)
- Teasing Master Takagi-san (finished seasons 1 and 2 March 2020. SUPER cute and wholesome series; really cute. Takagi annoyed me in the beginning but I grew to love her. Nishikata is awesome. The three girls were a lot of fun.)
- Tsukigakirei (April 18, 2020. Very good show. Feels very realistic, lovely art (except some of the characters in the background look weird haha)
- Fairy Tail (Started sometime in 2020. Not super into it to be honest, although it can be fun because it's like the anime version of a D and D game, almost)
- Atashin'chi (Started sometime in 2021. Recommended by Airi. Short and available to watch on YouTube. on ep...4?)
- The Promised Neverland (November 11, 2021--watched season 1 with Rachel and Carmen. We watched all of season 2 on another day. SO GOOD. I love all the kids dearly and want to adopt them all. Great mystery, horror, and thriller elements. No swearing or fan service. An excellent show about escaping an evil orphanage and navigating a society set up against the kids. Love the setting and the characters and everything. The friendship between the kids was wonderful.)
- Thermae Romae Novae (started April 21, 2022. Really enjoy the art style and the setting and the humor. Nice that it's not centered on teenagers.)
- Angel Beats (watched between July 9-July 17, 2022. Watched with Jaden, Kaitlyn, and Spencer. We mostly watched in sub because the dub was kind of lame. I enjoyed it. It starts out like they're rebelling against God, but then they realize they shouldn't be rebelling after all.)
- Bananya (Nov 12-13, 2022. Cute little anime.)
- Erased (Nov 19, 2022. LOVED it--as you can tell since I watched it all in one sitting! Watched with Carmen and Rachel. Started rewatching it with my parents the next day. Awesome mystery/thriller story involving going back in time.)
- Usa Musume: Pretty Derby (Started December 2022. Finished season 2 May 2023. Watched with Rachel and Carmen at Rachel's suggestion. Cute light-hearted anime about friendship and racing.)
- Boarding School Juliet (watched May 28 and 29, 2023 while Christy was visiting. We really enjoyed it! Cute and funny romantic comedy. Christy is an amazing person to watch anime with. Romio is super cute.)
- Clannad (July 1, 2023-February 10, 2024. Very cute, funny, and wholesome.)
- Garzey's Wing (March 25, 2024. Learned about it at Zenkaikon. Quite possibly the worst anime ever made.)
- A Place Further Than the Universe (September 2024-October 2024. Loved all the main cast! Nice and wholesome. Very well-done. Emotional and emphasizes the importance of friendship.)
- Mieruko-chan (October 2024. Spoopy horror comedy. Can get mildly inappropriate in the way they draw the characters but it's not to the point I'm not willing to tolerate. Has touching moments that brought tears to my eyes.)
