- i don't feel my kins in the same way that others do. if I'm forced to use labels for this I am somewhere between fictkin/therian and otherhearted. they are definitely a product of my mental illness/neurodivergence, but I recognize that I cannot physically be these characters/animals. I know that physically, regrettably, I am a human. I would not like to be, but it is what it is. I'm not spiritual or religious so I don't believe that I am these concepts reincarnated or have the soul of them. a better way to put it is that I strongly believe I should have been born as them and would choose to be them in a better timeline. it is more of a sense of deep longing instead of identification or simple liking. HOWEVER, I still strongly identify with these concepts because they help me grasp my identity and contribute to who I am. in the lower tiers they have a special place in my heart and mind, but they haven't affected my personhood as much. these are not just things I really like (that is true), they are very special in my mind and I would like that you not assume this is just a Favorite Characters List. this is not roleplaying or me just being silly. I am being entirely serious and I ask that you treat me fairly and respectfully in this aspect.
