• Threatened to kill herself:

  • By hanging herself from a board in the shed.
  • By overdosing on sleeping pills.
• Threatened to kill others (with the gun she supposedly bought):
  • My father.
  • His new wife.
• Blamed:
  • My father.
  • His new wife.
  • Her foster daughters.
  • Me.
  • Everyone but herself.
• Denied any wrong doing in the entire course of their 30 year marriage.
• Spent a lot of money on completely unnecessary things to get back at my father:
  • Giant flat-screen plasma televisions.
  • New wood floors in the kitchen.
  • New tires for a car that sits in the driveway for weeks at a time.
  • Completely remodeled all the bathrooms.
• Sent/made almost daily harassing phone calls and emails to my father and his new wife.
• Resented me for forgiving my father.
• Accused me of "siding" with my father.
• Attacked my father physically, stabbing him with a pen, kicking him in the chest, ripping his work badge off.
• Attended two 6 week long divorce groups with no progress.
• Paid to have an agency uncover my fathers phone call history from the past year.
• Began taking prescription sleeping pills and anti-depressants.
• Finally begun her much needed therapy.
• Made inappropriate comments about my father's sex life.
• Insisted on texting me at odd or random hours to tell me yet another thing that makes my father the scum of the earth.
• Told me that if I so much as breathe the same air as my father's new wife that I would be betraying her.
• Sworn off men forever. And avoids even friendly relationships with people, in general.
• Existed in a state of perpetual loneliness and cynicism.
• Allowed my foster sister to walk all over her and take her for granted just because she doesn't want to live alone.
• Creepily drove past my father's new house after somehow uncovering his address based on something she saw in the real estate section of the paper.
• Accused me of being with my dad every single time I wasn't able to visit her.

But really, I can't hold any of it against her. Who knows what I would do if my husband divorced me after 30 years and was remarried within 5 months.
