- The clink-clink-clink of a roller coaster as it ascends that first hill.
- A hard rain pounding outside.
- Scissors through a stiff piece of construction paper/card stock.
- Scissors through a thick piece of felt.
- Church bells.
- Crackling of a fire.
- Clip-clop of a horse's trot. Especially on cobblestone.
- High-heels on nearly any hard surface.
- Doves/pigeons cooing.
- The rhythmic thumps when driving over the joints in a long bridge.
- White noise: fans, etc.
- Rolling thunder.
- Deep, throaty cat purring.
- The sound of a really talented tap dancer tapping.
- Foreign accents.
- Wind whistling through window cracks and door jambs on a stormy night.

- Air-raid sirens. There's something eerie about them that I just enjoy for some reason.
