• Went to Busch Gardens with Alex and his parents and brother on Easter. It's nice getting to know and spend so much time with his family. I feel bad that my family is not as accomodating and sociable as his.
  • Saw Clash of the Titans on our regular Friday movie night. As an extreme Greek mythology lover, I enjoyed it!
  • Saw Hot Tub Time Machine with Alex. Pleasantly surprised! It was funnier than I thought it would be and had an all around better storyline than I thought!
  • Went to King's Dominion for our first visit of the season. Rode the new Intimidator 305 roller coaster for the first time. Intense! I blacked out. But it was amazing. Ultimate people watching at amusement parks. People with bad tattoos, fat people in too small clothes, brooding teenagers, horny teenagers. I love it!
  • Alex got an amazing job in NOVA at and we made the decision to move here together. Can't wait!
  • Had a yard sale with Mom. Helped her sell a lot of things that reminded her of my dad and will hopefully help her feel lighter mentally and physically. Sold a lot of my own stuff too and made $150. Love getting rid of things, so freeing!
  • Celebrated Shandy's birthday with a nice lunch at Ledo's with Jessica, Paul, Tiffany, Mom, myself and Shandy. Had a nice time, no conflict! And unbeknownst to my mom, Shandy got a third cat. A little black male named Eli.
  • Applied for an awesome job at the U.S. Holocaust Museum! Eeek :) Fingers crossed.
  • Applied for another job as an Animal Keeper for the Smithsonian. I'm not applying for as many jobs as I'd like or as many as Alex did, so I still feel a little lazy, but I'm making progress. Hopefully I get lucky and one of these pans outs!
  • Saw Kick-Ass with Alex. SO good. Wasn't expecting that at all! I want to start reading comic books, buy cool weapons and be a vigilante.
  • Went to WWE Monday Night Raw with Alex. It was fun! I can see why people get so in to it. I used to think professional wrestling was cheesy and for rednecks but it was a great time and even if the wrestling is fake, they are still athletes and entertainers and it was a neat experience.
  • Applied for another awesome job with the Jane Goodall Institute! One of these HAS to work out for me :) Ah, the process of trying to find an "adult" job once you graduate from college.
  • Saw Nightmare on Elm Street remake with Alex. Jumped a lot, ate delicious fat and GUILT free popcorn, successful night!
  • Went to the grand reopening of the new VMFA. It was really neat! Took some good pictures...nice to have my camera in my hands again!
  • Saw Iron Man 2 with Alex. So good! I really want to get into comic books.
  • House hunting with Alex in Fredericksburg.
  • Interviewed for the Jane Goodall Institute!
  • Visited Colonial Williamsburg with Alex for the first time. I can't believe after living in VA for 10 years I had never been. It was a little rainy but we had a lovely time and I got some good pictures. We plan on going back with passes so we can see more!
  • Interviewed for the Jane Goodall Institute again! Eeek!
  • Got approved on our townhouse in Fredericksburg! Hooray!
  • Climbed Humpback Rocks on the Blue Ridge Parkway with Alex. Our first hike and real outdoorsy thing together. I don't think he likes that kind of stuff that much. If the hike had been any longer, I think he would have been irritated. It sucks that he doesn't like it because I love it. I guess I'll have to find someone else to do those types of things with me. But he definitely enjoyed himself once we reached the top and took in the amazing view.
  • Explored Historic Downtown Charlottesville after our hike. It was really cool. There were a ton of cute boutiques and restaurants and street performers.
  • Graduated college after 5 years. Finally. Finished with 2 As and 2 Bs and a Bachelors of Science in Anthropology. Woo Hoo!
  • Walked all the way to Carytown Burgers and Fries with Alex for the first time. Had a delicious Gardenburger!
  • Got on my own car insurance plan. Ah, adulthood!
  • Got two super great, heartfelt cards from my co-workers. One being a personal one from Paula. And two $50 dollar gift cards to Kohls and Barnes and Noble. Too nice of them
  • Mimi came and visited is in Virginia. At last!
  • Had a nice dinner out with Mimi, Mom, Tiff, Richard, Shandy and her friend, Alycia. That Richard ended up secretly paying for! How terribly nice of him.
  • Officially finished work at Canine to Five. After almost 3 years, it was a hard goodbye. I will miss those dogs so much and I cried like a baby but I'm ready to move on.
  • Signed a lease on a townhouse with Alex. Here we go, life! I'm ready for the next big steps.
