Since I made such a negative list about it already. EDIT: I no longer live here. It was my first apartment. Living with roommates/living on my own in a different city, away from my family and I will always carry the fond memories with me.
- Secretly watching the birds who land on my window ledge through the blinds. I'm so close and they have no idea.
- Leaving stale bread crumbs on the window ledge for said birds to enjoy.
- I have my own bathroom.
- When the cops pull someone over right outside my window. I like to watch.
- The nice, short walk to various restaurants, stores and campus.
- The stray cats that live in the parking garage that I feed my soy lunchmeat.
- My window lets in a lot of light.
- My toilet never gets clogged.
- Even though the walls are paper-thin, sometimes I do hear some really funny stuff.
- The African-American beauty salon across the street called "Celebrity Weaves" with horribly comical drawings of Ciara, Kelis and Mary J. Blige in the window.
- The interesting things that somehow end up in the alleyways.
- The old brick sidewalks. And sometimes taking a loose, interesting looking one home with me.
- The parking garage which is especially lovely because I can't parallel park.
- And that my parking spot is lucky number 7.
- I feel safer here than I think I would in other parts of the city.
- It's the first place I've lived on my own.
