Spring is fast approaching and I couldn't be happier.

  • Dry, flaky skin.
    • Especially on my face and my hands.
    • Overly dry skin thus leads to break outs. Ugh.
  • Dry, damaged, static-filled hair.
    • And, consequently, all the money spent on conditioning treatments.
  • Goosebumps.
  • Runny noses.
  • Overcast skies.
    • Vitamin D deficiency from the lack of sunlight!
  • The wind.
    • This has been the windiest winter in my memory. It makes the cold feel so much worse.
  • The 10 minute walks to class.
    • Having my eyes dry up and tears stream down my face.
    • Having my nose turn BRIGHT red and stay that way throughout the whole class.
  • Having to wait for my car to warm up.
  • Not being able to drive with my windows down.
    • The dry air of the heater, even worse for my already dry skin!
  • Wearing multiple layers to bed.
  • The extra laundry that comes with all those multiple layers.
  • Always having to wear socks.
  • The lack of green, growing things to marvel at.
  • Dealing with people's bad moods due to seasonal depression.
  • Not being able to utilize the outdoor patios at my favorite eateries.
  • ULTRA pale skin.
    • I like having fair skin but in the winter I'm practically translucent.
  • Numb toes & fingers.
  • The spike in my electric bill as result of trying to heat my old, drafty apartment.
  • Parking on the street and living in the city when it snows = 3 feet of snow thrown onto your car when the plows come by, trapping you and rendering you immobile for days.
  • How awful, ugly and dirty snow gets after that first day of it being pure and pristine.
