Spring is fast approaching and I couldn't be happier.
- Dry, flaky skin.
- Especially on my face and my hands.
- Overly dry skin thus leads to break outs. Ugh.
- Dry, damaged, static-filled hair.
- And, consequently, all the money spent on conditioning treatments.
- Goosebumps.
- Runny noses.
- Overcast skies.
- Vitamin D deficiency from the lack of sunlight!
- The wind.
- This has been the windiest winter in my memory. It makes the cold feel so much worse.
- The 10 minute walks to class.
- Having my eyes dry up and tears stream down my face.
- Having my nose turn BRIGHT red and stay that way throughout the whole class.
- Having to wait for my car to warm up.
- Not being able to drive with my windows down.
- The dry air of the heater, even worse for my already dry skin!
- Wearing multiple layers to bed.
- The extra laundry that comes with all those multiple layers.
- Always having to wear socks.
- The lack of green, growing things to marvel at.
- Dealing with people's bad moods due to seasonal depression.
- Not being able to utilize the outdoor patios at my favorite eateries.
- ULTRA pale skin.
- I like having fair skin but in the winter I'm practically translucent.
- Numb toes & fingers.
- The spike in my electric bill as result of trying to heat my old, drafty apartment.
- Parking on the street and living in the city when it snows = 3 feet of snow thrown onto your car when the plows come by, trapping you and rendering you immobile for days.
- How awful, ugly and dirty snow gets after that first day of it being pure and pristine.
