Practice drawings as analysis:
- Perspective/foreshortening/odd-angles
- Drawing type to fit the mood/flow eg single line, smooth confident line ( practise focus of hand add+keep presence while drawing - don’t be self conscious )
Practice ‘way of seeing’
- Subject matter / use of space and mixed materials as you like, experiment freely
- Subject mood / certain focused feeling or memory, buildable story
- Think about the negative space in your drawings/works - there is power in it - it can balances the ‘positive’ space
Practice Form
‘ In relation to art the term form has two meanings: it can refer to the overall form taken by the work - its physical nature; or within a work of art it can refer to the elements of shape among the various elements that make up a work ‘
- What do you wish to convey through form
- Can start with the human body as a subject / evolve the forms appearance through use of media etc.
- Form to abstraction / create movement from the stillness
Expressive - sensation - feeling/meaning
