• I miss my aunt's lake house in France. I spent many hours on her roof reading Nabokov, while listening to my family converse about politics over glasses of wine and cheese.
  • The best moments of my life all have taken place in Europe. Me and my friend Emmett went on a road trip all around France two summers ago before he passed away. We would have picnics in forests and carve our secrets into tree bark along the way.
  • When I was in first grade, the teacher asked everyone "what they wanted to be when they grew up." I said "flower" and everyone laughed at me and pulled my hair, but being a flower would be very nice.
  • I'm excited for this summer. I'm going to Finland, Spain, and back to France for a few weeks to visit my friends, whom I miss terribly.
  • Me and my friends in France do a lot of beautiful things together. My favorite memory with them is driving down the coast, while drinking out of the same wine bottle. I felt so free and they told me all about love and "making love" in such a casual tone. It really shows how comfortable people in Europe are with themselves and their bodies. Everyone in America is very conservative and won't admit the love their bodies desire.
  • I've started to paint again. My next piece is of a naked woman, and her body is covered in dried rose petals I've collected.
  • I've also started to work on political art.
  • My grandpa is sending me his typewriter. My mom bought me a little table and candles, with my own special mug for my soon to be "writing corner." I'm really happy my mom's comfortable with me looking into the arts.
  • My first ever "relation" with a boy was at a wedding a few years ago. It was with a waiter. He stole a bottle of wine and since the wedding was on a hill above a golf course, we ran down the gold course behind the trees and drank wine and randomly shared short kisses. He was sixteen and had brown curly hair and the prettiest eyes I've ever seen.
