"They are gathering..." He looked up in the sky, following the rushing lights in the night with his eyes. The little girl set her eyes to the firmament as well. "You think so?" - "This happens about one night in a semicentennial. What a view." - "How many times did you get to see this?" She asked. "Maybe five or six times. Maybe even more." He answerd with a crooked smile. "Then how old are you exactly?" She asked smiling as well. "A few years I guess?" To her it sounded not just as a simple joke of someone not wanting to tell his age, but as if he really had no idea. But he didn't seem to be bothered by his lack of knowlege. "Did you forget it?" She asked allready knowing what the answer would be. "The longer I last, living in this world, the more I forget about unimportant things, such as how old I am, dear." With this he looked up at the sky again and she did as well. No more questions. Just silence. "When will we become lights like them?" She asked breaking the silence again, unaware of that beeing the last question she could ever ask him again. "'When will our time come?' For you? There is still some time left. For me? Well, I guess, my game is over by now." His voice faded as the small light on his chest grew bigger. "Farewell. I'm looking forward on floating with you over the cities some time. But don't come after me too fast." And with that his light grew even bigger untill it consumed the last bit of his body making him shine like a saint.
