  • Make them a Miyazaki-themed childrens room or have Ghibli-themed birthday parties
    • mobile of the kite machine from Laputa with the kids in it
  • Sing "All Together Now" (Beatles) to them
  • Plant a tree at the time of each's birth - So they can see it grow with them
  • Start a college fund for them before they know what college is
  • Prioritize them after Evan so they can see what a healthy relationship looks like
  • Show them the wonder of classic Disney (when Disney was still in charge)
  • Expose them to different worlds and cultures (Miyazaki)
  • Do the cheesy wall height marker on each birthday
  • Go to lots of their events (sports games, recitals)
  • Be a part of their school stuff
  • Take cute, funny, ridiculous, beautiful pictures of them at every opportunity
  • Play Beethoven and Mozart for them whenever possible
  • Play The Beatles and Modest Mouse for them the rest of the time
  • MAKE them take music lessons (guitar, banjo, ukelele, something cool..)
  • MAKE them join a sport, or teach it to them myself (badminton? tennis? lacrosse?)
  • MAKE any boys join and stick with Boy Scouts
  • Read to them lots
  • Buy lots of nice childrens books
  • Write/illustrate/bind their own childrens book
  • Dont let em stay home from school ALL the time, just some of the time
  • Dont encourage them to quit something at the first sign of badness or difficulty
  • Teach them about $: allowance/savings
  • Have pets (dog/cat/turtle/rabbit/duck)
  • Take them camping and traveling
  • Take them to see the ocean and the snow early in their lives, and regularly after that
  • Teach them to swim early in their lives
  • Bring them to Luxembourg
  • Dress them in the cutest clothes (think super warm Christmas Story-esque jackets)
  • Knit them warm blankets and keep them in a big ole wooden chest in the living room
  • Paint a world map on a huge board to hang up in their room so they can put up pins of the places theyve been or want to go
  • Cook homemade meals
  • Bake fresh bread regularly
  • Put occasional surprises in their lunch boxes (toys, candy, cookies)
  • Buy them Legos (the best toy ever)
  • Be there for them
  • Love em unconditionally
