- red-eye occurs because when pictures are taken at night, your pupils are dilated enough that light reflects back out of your eye and is shown as red because of the blood vessels in the back of your eye
- widows peaks, cleft chins, the ability to taste PTC, and hitchhiker's thumbs are Mendelian traits, as are free or attached earlobes and dry or wet earwax
- King Henry VIII had an older brother named Prince Arthur, who married Katherine of Aragon (later the first wife of Henry VIII) but Athur died before he was able to rule
- Lady Jane Grey ruled England for nine days between her cousins King Edward VII and Queen Mary I (both children of Henry VIII) simply because she was Protestant, not Catholic. She was never crowned, but executed at the age of sixteen by Mary I, later known as Bloody Mary.
