(In no order - Not ALL of these are for kids!)
-Definitely NOT for kids, this violent anime about a wild pack of war dogs is arguably the best animated show I've ever seen. It had numerous animation problems, but was still very entertaining and did not have a single weak episode in it. Oh yeah, and the characters were just badass and awesome.
-The predecessor to Ginga Densetsu Weed, this is also NOT for kids and tells the story of a young hunting dog named Gin, who leaves his owner to help a wild dog pack kill a monsterous killer bear who's been terrorizing their lands. Not as good as its sequel IMO, but still phenomenal, the characters are still its best attribute and the story is exciting as hell.
-One of the most underrated animes ever, this was head-and-shoulders above the other "-mon" shows that came out around the same time. The storytelling was fantastic and the characters were both lovable and cool. To this day one of the best animes ever created.
-This practically unknown anime was not quite as strong as the other 3 above it on this list, but was still very entertaining and fun to watch. The beast warriors and their relationships with their human teammates and friends were the best part of the show and all the good characters were great.
-Originally part of the program "Animaniacs", this short, 13-episode show was the first one to feature anthropomorphic characters in a lead role. The episodes were funny and the characters were both lovable and well done. It's too bad it didn't go for longer.
-Technically, this show was VERY badly made. But the characters were so well done and cool that it was easy to overlook the glaring animation problems and derivative story. Probably my favorite show from childhood.
-Possibly the most famous animated show ever created, this often hilarious undersea show was both groundbreaking and fiercely original. Still going to this day, the voice acting is top notch and the characters instantly lovable.
-A very daring show for Disney, because of its darkness and violence level, this was one of the best shows of the late 90's. It went downhill in the third season (its last), but the first two were still good enough to put it on this list.
-One of the best animated shows ever created, this ahead-of-its-time computer generated show had a fascinating story, awesome characters, and almost nonstop action. To this day, it is recognized as possibly the best "Transformers" show ever done. Truly great.
-The beginning of the seemingly interminable franchise, this was easily the best of the English ports of the Power Rangers series. It was usually cheezy, but the action and cool characters were just too good to bring it down. They have never surpassed this one to this day.
