Because I just can't help myself and I'm so close to being done and the children's librarian is supposedly retiring this fall and I might get her job if I have my degree by then....

GRADUATE DECEMBER 2015. As in, THE END OF THIS YEAR. I will not be a very fun person to be around, but I could get it all done before Christmas 2015. That's a very attractive thought. AND if the children's librarian actually retires in the fall, that will give me plenty of time to be almost done with my degree by the time they get around to interviewing for the position and I could perhaps start off 2016 with a "real" job. It still wouldn't enable me to move out on my own because the pay for an entry-level librarian job is not that great. It's about $8000 more than I'm currently making, but it's not quite enough for me to be able to live on my own without roommates. If your rent is supposed to be a quarter of your monthly salary, I know for a fact that there are no apartments in my area that are less than $800 a month. And it'd be stupid to have my rent be basically half of my monthly income. I can still hope, though. And even if I don't get that job or she doesn't retire, at least I'll be done with school, right? That's what it's all about. To finally be done with school.
