My taste and conception of what constitutes what I consider immersive and touching fiction tends to match the best with a lot of titles in Japanese otaku art, so yeah, I'm quite much into that.

I'm not much into series (excluding animation), films, fiction books and series. What I mostly search for are tangible, strikingly pure and beautiful works that disconnects me from reality, with lots of emotional attachment. Books lack tangibility, series and films haven't the full feeling of being fictive due to being filmed in the real world, and films lack emotional attachment due to being too short (that's not to say no title can become part of my favorites, but they would be too few and wouldn't go high into the list). I also tend to prefer Japanese stuff due to combining both ambition to strive for great quality and a focus on emotional attachment.

Visual Novels are what I like the most in fiction. It has the power of text, but also of audiovisuals, and they have the best amount of ratio of people who care a lot about conveying deep emotions.
