- ~Seven Keys Lodge (Baldpate Inn)~
The Seven Keys Lodge is much more than an inn. It also happens to host the world's largest collection of keys- more than 20,000 keys organized categorically on the walls and ceiling. Keys to places such as Frankenstein's Castle, Mozart's wine cellar, the White House bathroom, Westminster Abbey, and Hitler's final bunker are all displayed, having been donated ever since the end of World War II. Formerly known as the Baldpate Inn, the hotel was established in 1917 by brothers Charles and Gordon Mace, who were inspired by the 1913 mystery novel 'Seven Keys to Baldpate'. The inn is, of course, haunted- supposedly by Gordon (anti smoking advocate) and his wife Ethel, who allegedly has a special interest in the key room as well as prohibition.
