The elephant tourism industry across Southeast Asia is unfortunately rife with unethical and abusive practices meant to cater to western tourists. Elephant Nature Park (ENP) is Asia's first rescue and rehabilitation center meant to be a caring and respectful place for elephants who were victim of abuse to heal and roam, with opportunities for volunteering, tours, overnight accommodations, and even rafting expeditions nearby.

~Royal Barges National Museum (พิพิธภัณฑสถานแห่งชาติ เรือพระราชพิธี)~
Inside this museum are around 50 ornate longboats and 8 barges. The barges, among them the Suphannahongse ('Golden Swan', the King's personal barge), boast ornately gilded mythical creatures at their helm. Ceremonial items and related paraphernalia are also exhibited. The boats endured bombing during World War II, but were luckily restored and the area was converted into a museum in 1972. If the nearby Chao Phraya river is at high tide, however, the museum will not be open!
