The Suối Tiên Theme Park, first opened in 1995, is anything but your typical water park- the landscapes and attractions all detail the history and legends of Vietnam through a Buddhist lens. Rides and pools illustrate stories such as the Battle of Son Tinh and Thuy Tinh or the goddess Âu Co, and the sacred animals of the dragon, unicorn, tortoise, and phoenix are recurring motifs. Particularly famous is the neon shrine to Buddha that rests within the mouth of a golden dragon, and the over 70-meter tall mountain depicting the face of Vietnam's founding father Lac Long Quan There is also a pond with crocodiles, which visitors can feed, as well as an aquarium and zoo, pagodas, and numerous caves. The park also contributes to wildlife research and protection causes.
