Just like that the mist began to clear and soon after the snowing stopped as if they had to make room for something else, something they had so patiently waited to arrive. In front of me stood a little girl, the same girl who just called me her friend. “I’m sorry, but do we know each other?” – I felt the urge to ask. She lifted her head and our eyes met. From one glance the image before me was burned in my memory for good. Pale skin almost ghostlike with beautiful long white hair as if ‘’mother nature‘’ decided to have a child out of pure snow, but there was something else – her eyes. Crimson red, a color so captivating you can say the essence of fire was held prisoner in it. She was barefooted wearing only a white dress. If i had to summarise then she was truly an incarnation of innocence. It felt like I can no longer look away with my body starting to stupefy. But the binding was broken the moment I heard her voice for a second time. “Of course we do, we’re friends after all.” –she said with an honest smile. A few seconds passed until I managed to snap out of it completely. “Once again, I apologize. But I can’t seem to remember anything from my past.”- I replied so that I would not offend her. “I see. Well no need to worry. I’ll help you regain your memory! I promise!” –she said with excitement. “But first you need to answer my question! So… where do we go from here?” –she asked again. A question so vague that even if I had my memories I would struggle to reply and yet now for some reason not only did I decided to pay no mind to anything other than the question but I had an answer ready for her. “You know what? Anywhere is fine as long as I’m not alone anymore.” – I said out loud before even realizing it. She gave out an even bigger smile then proceeded to laugh and even started jumping - just like a child when receiving a present. So joyful, so enthusiastic, so…alive. It wasn’t long before those feelings reached me and if a few moments ago I felt bound, well this time I was under a “spell” for sure. Strangely enough I felt no concern. I went with it, accepting it with open arms. Yes, I reassured myself that this can’t be anything but good. “Come on! Let’s go! I’m sure your memories are hidden somewhere here and we’re going to find them together, just like I promised!” –she shouted, pointing forward. And as she did the sun graced us with its presence, illuminating the snow. At that moment I thought if there was a heaven this may well be it. I mean what can be better than a journey in the great unknown, in endless light with an angel as your guide.

“Alright then! Forward we go … my friend.”
