After the loss of their child, Yoongi and Hoseok are ready to move on - move out of their suburban house into a city, forget their grief and loss and rebuild their lives. At least, they thought they were.
Each piece of furniture, each spare placemat brings back a memory that they have to relive: their attempts to have a child, the arguments, the pirate dress up days, the sex. And with each memory comes a pain that neither of them quite know what to do with.
It's a long sixteen hours, but at least they have each other.
Over the world, the forest looms.
“And here you are,” Hoseok says. He rests his hand at the small of Yoongi’s back. Always touching. “And still alive.”
“Does that surprise you?”
Hoseok hums. It’s a nice hum; it fills the air, and even after he’s stopped humming it continues, a big bloody splotch filling the sky the same way the sunset is. “I think it does. You have lovely eyes.”
“Thank… you?”
And then Hoseok’s standing, pulling Yoongi up, his broad palms gripping Yoongi’s forearms, looping around his wrists. His antlers swing through the air, displacing sound and light, somehow the brightest things in the whole forest. “Let’s run.”
Yoongi is going through the motions of life, working on his brother's farm under the shade of the mysterious forest over the mountain. And then he meets some people, and then his radio starts speaking to him, and suddenly he's being courted by a gentle man in the woods, someone with a heart-shaped smile and auburn hair and antlers.
He doesn't mind, though.
It breaks the monotony.
Hoseok wants to crawl inside a photograph and stay there for a while.
bangtan go to an amusement park. yoongi laughs and hoseok screams.
The coffee is done brewing when Hoseok slides back into the kitchen, and he pours himself a large travel mug before grabbing his bag and his keys. He laces up his shoes and heads out into the crisp, fall air, and toward the first day of the rest of his life. He’s so focused on balancing his coffee and his keys that he completely misses the, “Good luck,” from the figure in his kitchen, already hard at work washing Hoseok’s forgotten breakfast dishes.

Life and death often meet in Waffle House parking lots.
“Seok-ah,” Yoongi’s frowning, kissing Hoseok just briefly as they wait for the water to warm up. It’s a familiar scene - sharing a shower on a lazy Sunday, spitting water at each other, kissing and laughing when shampoo gets in their eyes, Yoongi washing Hoseok’s back for him before his hands trail other places. But instead it’s a couple hours past midnight, Yoongi’s face is tired and he’s anxious, nothing about this is laidback and fun.
Now Yoongi leans forward to set his drink on the coffee table, gently but with clear purpose. “Okay, then, let's go.”
A chorus of soft oohs bounces off the walls, and Hoseok’s brow furrows. “Wh– What do you mean, ‘Let’s go’?”
“Let’s play Gay Chicken,” Yoongi says simply, the faintest hint of a challenge playing at the edges of his words.
Evening shift at a convenience store. Night shift at a bar. Construction work when there is an opening.
Hoseok's newest part-time job? Babysitting the out-of-control, unreadable, defiant son of the richest man in Korea. Hopefully, the hefty paycheck is worth the effort.
Yoongi is past the point where it surprises him.
Hoseok has always caught his eye. It is what it is. Yoongi can live with it.
Or
Yoongi loves Hobi (not the whole story)
There is a List of Things one should always be aware of when Min Yoongi comes into the picture. Jung Hoseok does not get the memo.
Unknown [Picture sent] wait wait a second i f*cked up wrong number I F*CKED UP HOW 2 UNSEND SH*T
Yoongi okay, one: why are you sending dick pics to someone you don’t already have in your contacts two: why the fuck do you put an asterisk in your curse words and three: you kind of have a nice dick so thanks for sharing??
Hoseok wants to crawl inside a photograph and stay there for a while.
If someone were to ask Min Yoongi how he got to where he was, he probably wouldn’t have a proper answer. He just knew that what he did paid the bills.
Because pornography, that paid the bills.
Hoseok works at a bakery and Yoongi is 1/3 of the country's biggest band.
Or: the one where they fall in love at a bakery and Yoongi ends up writing a song about it.
yoongi meets hoseok in a 24 hour laundromat the night after moving to seoul
Yoongi supposes that throwing up on someone isn't a very attractive way of making a first impression.
(Or: Yoongi is an uninspired producer and Hoseok, well, Hoseok is something between a dream and a miracle.)
Everyone has a song in their heart, that's the way it has always been for Yoongi, hearing souls in sounds. But why does Hoseok have two songs?
We attend the same school and offer each other glances in the hallway, but we live on the same street and often I wish I could find myself with my hand in yours, watching the sun set to sleep
(Or, the softest shit I think I've ever wrote and Yoonseok are too adorable for me to do justice)
He picks up the glass he is drinking from, clenching it tightly as something inside him makes him want to throw it at a wall, but Hoseok’s wrist is around his, stopping him and he cries out from the pain. The glass slips from his grip, to the floor, crashing anyway.
Somewhere he hears Holly yipping and he shouts at his dog to stay put in the kitchen, panic filling him up at the thought of Holly getting hurt.
Holly pauses, studying Hoseok warily, and he calms his dog down.
“Stay, baby. Okay, good boy. Stay.”
He yanks his hand away from Hoseok, stepping around the broken glass to get to his dog, and he locks himself and Holly in the spare bedroom, away from Hoseok, away from the glass shards on the floor.
Away from everything that hurts.
Becoming a nude model…
Hoseok didn’t think much of what he signed himself up for and it wasn’t surprising that he didn’t do any research beforehand. He went into it with a very general understanding of what will be asked of him and he didn’t mind it, didn’t mind the exposure - at least that’s what he thought.
He felt perfectly fine and relaxed, but that was only because it hadn’t kicked in yet what he has to do. Not until he started to clutch at the rim of his shirt, his arms suddenly heavy when trying to lift the fabric above his head - to strip in front of Min Yoongi.
(or the AU where broke college student Jung Hoseok decided to fuck it and become a nude model for artist Min Yoongi)
Yoongi thinks they can make it anywhere, and Hoseok--well, Hoseok has no doubts about that.
(Or: that idol au where yoongi is an up and coming underground rapper and hoseok is the nation's sweetheart, and all they ever wanna be is okay. just okay.)
Yoongi and Hoseok are neighbors in a city with only one climate: rain.
DISCONTINUED When he's 13, Yoongi's village gets burned to the ground and he's taken prisoner. When he's 20, he gets sold to a British royal as a pleasure slave. When he's 25, he meets pirate captain Jung Hoseok.
All Min Yoongi has ever wanted was to be free, so what will he do when his chains are finally broken? Well, anything but enjoy it, apparently.
