- roses [6/23/26]: over a dozen blooms! some are dormant at the moment; the temperatures have been all over the place, and right now the last two days of rain has seen them take a beating, lol. but the extant blossoms are huge and fragrant. the large of the two bushes has scaled the trellis and is encroaching on the patio!
- apples [6/23/26]: a few flowers have started to fruit, mostly on the higher boughs. i'm super afraid that as they grow they'll turn the saplings into the fruit-bearing equivalent of charlie brown's christmas tree, lol. still, so excited to see anything happening.
- cherries [6/23/26]: we have yeilded three cherries, lol! and birds ate two. my wife and i shared the third. it was tart, but hey -- it was a cherry, y'all. one that we grew!
- peaches [6/23/26] oh my god, there are dozens of peaches growing! every couple of days i go out there and rub their furry little butts, lol. i'm looking forward to grilled peaches over homemade vanilla ice cream in the future.
- blueberries [6/23/26]: alas, i think our 11 year old forgets we have them, as has been neglecting their watering. my wife went out at gave them water a few days ago, and it has since rained, so i'm hoping this'll breathe some life into them. they are fruiting, though! now it's just a race to see if we or the birds get to them first.
