NOTE: best to use a mixer

  • half cup of flour
  • 2 tablespoons of corn starch
  • 1 cup of boiled hot water
    • stir and move to the side of the bowl
  • 2 cups of hot soy milk (105-110 degrees F before adding)
  • 2 teaspoons of sugar
  • 2 and 1/4 teaspoons yeast
    • 10 min before mixing the yeast into liquid mixture then mix!
  • add 1/4 sugar OR agave (if agave add more flour)
  • take 5 cups of flour
  • 2 teaspoons of salt
    • let sit for about 10 minutes to settle
  • gently mix in some squares of vegan butter
    • might need to add a little more flour or not
    • cover for about 1 hour - flour surface and hands
    • mold into buns
    • make a maple syrup wash to help browning while baking
    • or add to a loaf pan instead of buns
    • keep up to 5 days or freeze
