• The Holy Trinity

I know I'm like the only person who can't get into them, and I appreciate their immense acting ability, but I can't really get into the hype of it because I know that if I knew them as people, I'd really, really dislike them. Their personalities are too... complicated for my patience.

  • Ava Gardner

I think for the same reason. She seems too cool for my kind of school.

  • Laurence Olivier

I know he's a brilliant actor, but I've only seen two of his films. Wuthering Heights being one (see below).

  • Wuthering Heights

A novel, although admittedly a brilliant piece of literature, one I have an inordinate amount of distaste for. It's difficult to like a book when every single page you read you're hoping all the characters (with the exception of one or two) die painful deaths. Even Heathcliff I hated. I never really felt his Byronic heroism, maybe it's just my critical nature, but his whole vindictive outlook conveyed to me a person with a weak and selfish character, who seemed to lack many redemptive qualities necessary to constitute being a type of hero. The difference is seen if you compare him to other vengeful characters, most prominently Edmond Dantes in The Count Of Monte Cristo (one of my favourite novels), a story centred around the premise of seeking revenge. For example, Edmond helped those who needed to be helped, and brought justice/revege (whatever you want) upon those who deserved to be punished, while Heathcliff just seemed hellbent on making everyone around him, no matter how innocent, feel like shit just because he felt like shit. His character warranted no sympathy with me. All I saw was a pathetic man who felt he needed to make everyone around him suffer because he was too weak to move on with his life after a slight that happened decades ago by a woman who's now dead. Oh and H8 CATHERINE 4EVA.

  • Lauren Bacall

I really, really like her as a person, but movie wise, I've seen a couple of her films, and I didn't really like any of them. OUCH I KNOW.
