taehyung's father gets married to jin's mother. at first, jin is sweet and kind but when taehyung moves in, he meets the real jin - and he likes him even more.
taehyung has spent his entire life running from the very thing that seokjin has spent his searching for.
“hyung, how are you going to get kim seokjin to tutor me?” taehyung cries, bewildered. last year, he remembers distinctly, seokjin charmed his hair blond and made the front page of the school newspaper when someone got a shot of him on his broom, hair windswept as he slammed a bludger across the field. there were also three separate instances of girls trying to spike his pumpkin juice before breakfast on valentine’s with amortentia. he’s also rumored to have brewed a batch felix felicis successfully during his sixth year, instantly becoming the golden child of the potions department. the odds were not good.
or: kim taehyung has many talents. potions is not one of them.
soulmate marks manifest within the first twenty four hours of direct skin-to-skin contact with your soulmate. so who in the world is kim taehyung, and when did seokjin meet him?
seokjin wants nothing more than to kiss him.
to tumble head first into his lust and lose himself in the warm expanse of taehyung’s naked body and the pleasure he finds there.
to pretend that that’s all there is that exists between them.
there's something to be said for falling in love at a coffee shop—especially when you both work there.
taehyung and jin have been friends with benefits for a while until he realises that he wants something more but instead of doing the right thing, he prefers doing the wrong one.
“baby—” “don’t. not when you’re being like this. like, my feelings matter. you're acting like they don't.” “taehyung, oh my god.” he got quiet, the soft sound of the radio filling the car with a distraction. “don’t talk to me when we get to joon’s. i don’t want to be around you tonight.” “fine,” seokjin didn’t want to continue fighting, and it definitely wasn’t how he saw the night turning out, but he couldn’t help himself from making the situation worse. he snuck a peek at taehyung from the corner of his eye, the younger boy hiding his face from him and resting on the window. he hated knowing he hurt him.
or, taehyung and seokjin have a fight, but all relationships have their ups and downs/
seokjin has forgotten what home means; fortunately, taehyung is there to remind him.
after their painful breakup, taehyung decides to erase all memories of kim seokjin. but the memories don’t disappear all at once; the most recent ones go first, and the first go last.
i’ve forgiven you a thousand times, and i could forgive you a thousand times more.
let me forget you just this once.
"do you mind? is this alright?" he asks, low voice soft and quiet over the noise of meat sizzling in a pan and broth boiling in the largest pot they have. seokjin can feel his lips move, the slight moisture making them cling and drag against his skin, and it sends shivers down seokjin’s spine. good, lovely, pleasant shivers.
"i don't mind at all, tae," he replies, louder than taehyung’s whisper, but as fond and sincere as he can. "it's sweet."
for seokjin, taehyung was just a kid misguided and fucked over by a world too decrepit to give a damn; and for taehyung, seokjin was his saving grace.
“i still don’t get how you guys can be dating for so long, but he’s not your boyfriend. i mean, if it quacks like a duck...” jimin crossed his arms and taehyung shoved his hands into his pockets. “we go on dates. We’re not dating. it’s a relationship, but it’s different.” “because you’re not sleeping together.” “we sleep together plenty, we’re just not having sex. yet.” “and he’s okay with sleeping together without sleeping together? still?” leave it to jimin to not leave well enough alone. “so far,” taehyung said with a nod. he wanted to stop talking and just move on, but his mouth didn’t seem to know that, because he said, ”we’ll see how long that lasts.” jimin scooted to the edge of his chair, reaching out one hand to rest it gently on taehyung’s knee. “tae, you know… you know you’re… i mean, i want you to be happy and you deserve someone who is… like you, i guess.” “well, seokjin is definitely not like me. but he lets me be me, so that’s something. more than anyone else i’ve found. we’re getting there. this weekend actually.”
"average person expresses 3 genuine feelings a day" factoid actually just statistical error. Average person expresses 10 genuine feelings per day. spiders seokjin, who lives in a dorm and expresses -10,000 feelings each day, is an outlier adn should not have been counted.
(wherein taehyung woos seokjin with flowers, cooking, rj heads, and a potato, and seokjin... totally doesn't have a meltdown. ever.)
being with taehyung means seokjin gets to fall in love with him over and over again. but it's the consequences of falling that may break his heart.
seokjin makes a series of snap decisions, starting with going over to talk to taehyung.
somehow, they all turn out pretty well.
maybe seokjin doesn’t need to get the sparkly cropped christmas sweater the stylists put him in, if it can have taehyung looking at him like this.
or, model seokjin has spent the past six month committing the cardinal sin of semi-regularly hooking up with photographer taehyung. it’s not like they actually like each other though, make sure you've got that right.
"tell me stories," v says, his lollipop staining the swell of his lips green. "stories in exchange for your friends's lives. sounds like a fair deal, doesn't it?"
during a photoshoot, seokjin comes face to face with the realisation that taehyung has really nice, large hands. now he can't stop thinking about them.
and he's definitely got plans for them.
"not a fan of thunderstorms, are you?"
taehyung only heaves a tired sigh in response. he doesn't need to confirm or deny it, there is no point in hiding the truth either — seokjin has always been good at reading others.
or at reading taehyung, of all people.
or alternatively: taehyung is woken up in the middle of the night by a thunderstorm and leaves his room to seek comfort which coincidently takes residence in seokjin's bed.
seokjin, hoping to bring a human companion to the harvest festival, finds taehyung in the woods.
