I generally have 2 concerns I need to focus on:

  • SUN EXPOSURE
    • Sun exposure is easily fixed with SPF 30 sunscreen and covering myself/hiding from the sun. I also own a lot of aloe for when I screw up and get sunburnt.
  • DRY SKIN
    • The dry skin is usually a winter problem and my FAVORITE heavy winter lotion is Jergens Crema Deep Conditioning Oatmeal herebecause its EXTREMELY moisturizing but sinks in quickly and isn’t greasy!

SPECIAL CIRCUMSTANCES

  • I have a small patch of Eczema on my hand, it gets a little out of hand sometimes, so this is what I do when its getting particularly nasty:
    • coconut oil before bed
    • sometimes Lush's Tiny Hands
  • I own a lot of hand lotion. A LOT. but my two eczema faves are:
    • Aveeno Eczema Therapy Moisturizing Cream
    • Eucerin Eczema Relief Instant Therapy Cream
  • Sometimes when its REALLY bad, I just soak it in oatmeal. Dead serious
    • find a bowl thats deep enough for you to stick your hand in
    • put a little less than a handful of raw oats in it
    • cover the oats with warm/hot water (not TOO MUCH cause you dont want to dilute it too much!)
    • stick ur hand in it and soak for 15 min at least
      • sometimes I soak some cotton in the solution and wrap it around my hand, stick my hand in a glove, and continue my life
        • my eczema is on my right hand so I need the mobility

GENERAL NOTES

  • When I shave my legs and armpits, I dont use shaving cream because my skin isn’t all that sensitive and my body hair is light and thin so it doesnt give a lot of resistance. So I’m not really of any use on recommending shave cream?
  • I apply coconut oil after I shave my legs because it leaves my skin VERY soft and moisturized!
    • The key is making sure theres still a little bit of water on your body when you apply the oil so theres some moisture to be sealed in!
    • Sometimes when I get REALLY dry, I add Apricot Kernel Oil to the coconut oil because its pretty heavy and moisturizing.
  • I also prefer using CLEAR GEL deodorants/antiperspirants because I feel that they work better than the white solids? I don’t have any particular favorite, I just buy whatever is cheapest at the drugstore.
