- 2/12/16 the celebratory Valentine's Day with your sister. How swiftly life can transition in unexpected moments of joy turning into dismay. When your best friend gets taken away for what feels like hours. You stare as tighness encloses on her little wrists and pulls her away. You wait. You chase. You pray. Give me a song to sing Lord in this moment.
You watch her from across the window and her vulnerability relents and pride is released. She can barely glance back in utter shame. Humiliation makes her hide. But love covers. Love avails. Love sees the beauty in the reflection. The purity in the disposition. The heart in the devotion. Never has Orange looked so beautiful. So holy. So radiating. His beloved. His delight. Jesus your light shines in darkness. Eternity touches time. Give me a song to sing to you Lord. Jesus how beautiful are you. That you bled for us. You love us so much. What love even is this? That you would leave the glory of eternity and communion with His Father face to face, to put on a robe of flesh that had fallen short of glory and bear the weight of the world that could not see His Fathers face-- until the Father turned his face away from His Son for a moment. So the blood of He who is without blemish would cover the leprosy of sin and redeem humanity. Oh my sweet Jesus you are so beautiful. That you would cover us and call us pure and holy and beautiful.
