  • Hoodie (pg-13) - JuniperWren | fluff, hurt/comfort, getting together, coming out
    • Since their fight Hinata and Kageyama haven’t really been on speaking terms, nor seeing terms really. The two have been avoiding each other. But Hinata misses his friend, no more than you would miss a friend. While at home, Hinata would often wear a hoodie Kageyama had left there before their fight. At first Shoyou didn’t return the jacket because they were avoiding each other and that meant they would have to interact. He thought about giving it to someone else to give it to Kags, but soon found he just couldn’t. The spiker missed Kageyama so much that he soon got attached to the hoodie, as it made Hinata feel somewhat closer to the setter. It didn’t take long after their fight for Hinata to be wearing Kags hoodie all the time at home, he would even occasionally sleep in it. Not wanting the smell to go away by being washed, he made sure to only wear it when he was clean. One day, Hinata accidentally wore Kageyama's hoodie instead of his own under his uniform to school. (I apologize for bad grammar/tense usage, this was my first fic, I promise I got better after it)
  • Sharuru (pg-13) - MochiKazuu | mutual pining, post timeskip
    • "You were the one who said goodbye, yet why are you the one with tears running down your cheeks?" - Kageyama Tobio already had plans for after High School, he would go to the top, he would go to the upper leagues and play the longest in the court - with Hinata. Yet all his plans changed when Hinata decided to leave for Brazil to switch to beach, unaware of the feelings the setter felt for him.
  • Just Falling Short (E) - iknewaman | college!au, sexual content
    • What’s worse than failing your final group project of the year and almost flunking out of your course? No, seriously. Guess.
  • The Art of Subtlety (M) - artemisia_HQ | fluff, mentions of sex, accidental coming out
    • It's not too bad, and Shouyou admits, there's a different kind of thrill being involved in a secret relationship. It's in the little, knowing smiles they give each other; Kageyama's lingering touches when he ruffles Shouyou's hair, fingers lightly tracing his ear when he retracts his hand; the constant roughhousing and bickering done mostly as an excuse to touch without raising suspicion; sleeping against each on bus rides, their hands linked and hidden out of sight under their jackets and bags. Once or twice, they get away with stealing small kisses when they're absolutely sure everyone is asleep. Maybe they're not doing so well with the no touching or kissing rule but holding back has never been in their forte in the first place. Keeping his romantic relationship with his supposed rival a secret has been a great struggle for Hinata, but Kageyama is there to help him through it. Or make it even more difficult.
  • Like Always (pg-13) - artemisia_HQ | fluff, getting together
    • The realization feels strange as it courses through his body. It’s all-consuming, dismantling every part of him and then builds him back up just as quick, feeling more complete and whole than he’s ever been. It’s strange, but it’s also welcome, as if he’s body has been waiting for him to acknowledge it, to accept it. It’s been there all along—the plain, simple truth that he’s terribly, disgustingly in love with Kageyama Freaking Tobio. He’s in love with Kageyama and he wants him to know. While taking their last walk home together as teammates, Hinata discovers a startling revelation about himself and his highly confusing feelings for his long-time rival.
  • Softyama-Kun (pg-13) - artemisia_HQ | humor, fluff
    • In one long stride, Kageyama surges forward, grabbing Shouyou's arm with so much gentleness it hurts and oh god he's going to die and he’s about to cry for hel— Wait. Gentleness? Hinata hurts himself during practice and he's prepared for the berating and harsh Kageyama out to get his throat but is (pleasantly) surprised when Kageyama displays a rare side of him instead.
  • Twitch (pg-13) - CheekyBrunette | Tourette's Syndrome, bullying, hurt/comfort(?)
    • "He was aware of the itch he’d feel before he shook his head or scrunched his nose. He recognized the impulse to move, but he didn’t realize how compulsive the behaviors had become. He had to shake his head. He had to scrunch his nose. He had to shrug his shoulders over, and over, and over. It wasn’t until he was nine-years-old that Shouyou realized he couldn’t control his movements like other kids could."
  • Wait, Wait (M) - explicitones | angst with a happy ending, friends to lovers
    • After, meandering side-by-side in the general direction of their respective homes, Hinata declares with certainty in his voice, “We’ll always be a team.” Kageyama has never been good with absolutes, deciphering between literal and metaphor, but there’s something to the conviction in Hinata’s tone that makes him believe. In which Kageyama has a system for categorizing life events but takes a long time sorting out his feelings.
  • Not Alone (E) - seconddaysea | college!au, angst with a happy ending, sexual content
    • "I'll visit you," Hinata says. "So you're not allowed to get lonely, you got it?" He turns so they're facing each other, hands warm against Tobio's back. "I'm already lonely," he replies quietly, and he presses his face against Hinata's heart, squeezing his eyes shut, because if this is a dream he doesn't want to wake up.
  • Thaw (M) - peppermint_wind | college!au, friends to lovers
    • Kageyama Tobio just wants to get through the day. He hates winter, he hates most people, and he really hates getting up for an 8:00AM class. That's when Hinata Shouyou, bright and obnoxious, literally comes running into his life at full-throttle and changes everything Kageyama thought he knew. Basically, the College AU where Hinata and Kageyama meet by Hinata literally knocking into him and spilling hot coffee all down Kageyama's clothes.
  • Perfectly Chaotic (M) - artemisia_HQ | different first meeting!au, fluff
    • He’s hungry and annoyed and so fucking pissed, and when the same waiter approaches his table again to ask if he’s ready to order, Tobio thinks, fuck this shit. He should just cut his losses and leave with whatever is left of his shredded dignity. He's already preparing and mentally bracing himself to face the horror of the literal walk of shame out of the establishment, when a guy he’s never seen before slides down rather ungracefully on the seat across from Tobio with an exaggerated huff. Then he smiles, bright and blinding, like the glaring orange mess of a hair on his head. After a string of disastrous 'blind dates' his insufferable sister sets him up with, and his current 'date' standing him up exacerbating his annoyance, Kageyama has decided that he won't put up with it any longer. But he finds himself rethinking that decision when a guy—that may or may not be cute—literally sweeps in to save his mortified ass.
  • By This Time Next Year (pg-13) - reeology | angst with a happy ending
    • "I got offers from two universities," Kageyama announces, pointing at his chest with his thumb. "I'm going to play volleyball at Keio this spring." "You still have to pass an exam, even if it's an easy one," Takeda-sensei hurries to add, although he is beaming and bursting with pride at his fluffy little crow chick taking off to play volleyball at a university level. "I'll pass," Kageyama says with the same kind of confidence he uses when he tells Hinata he'll get the toss to him. He looks straight at Hinata, and Hinata jerks and turns red, wondering if maybe Kageyama knew he was daydreaming about something as stupid as the way Kageyama talks to him during a game. But then Kageyama just points at him and says, "You'd better get in, too." Hinata, stupid, naive, idiot that he is, grins wide and nods and says, "Yeah!" He doesn't know what he's in for.
  • Untitled (pg-13) - buu | college!au, fluff
    • It's easy to pass off too-fast heartbeats as adrenaline post-game, post-practice, or because Kageyama just makes him excited to play volleyball. It's harder to ignore when he has to look away the second Kageyama starts getting changed for bed, slipping out of his shirt and revealing shoulders he's grown into nicely (when did he get even bigger? Not fair) and then his pants are sliding down his legs and Hinata pretends he's really invested in the textbook he uses as a doorstop.
  • Carry Your Throne (pg-13) - seconddaysea | college!au, slow burn, angst with a happy ending
    • fate (n.) 1. that which is inevitably predetermined; destiny. 2. the way Hinata Shouyou won’t leave his life. 3. wait for it.
  • One More (pg-13) - Miasen | college!au, fluff
    • The scoop isn’t perfect, it never is. The orange-haired boy with the name tag that reads Hinata!! in sloppy writing, has been working in the ice cream shop for at least three weeks—Kageyama should know, he comes here every other day, even though he doesn't even like ice cream that much—but Hinata still hasn't grasped the technique properly. The one where Kageyama pines a lot after the cute boy who works in the ice cream shop.
  • Thirty-Three Days of Mist and Mountains (pg-13) - tinygumdrops (curryramyeon) | rivals to estranged friends to lovers, getting together, slow burn
    • Tobio runs by himself every day. Even though he can't shake off that awful feeling that something's closing in on him, he still does it. It's habit now. When he gets a phone call that Hinata Shouyou is thinking of coming to Italy, Tobio feels like he has to run even faster. (Or: Tobio has a month to prepare himself before his high school rival comes to visit him. They haven't spoken to each other for two years, and Tobio can't even remember what food Hinata likes. He's got a lot to think about.)
  • Of Crushes and Coffee (pg-13) - corinnana | coffee shop!au, fluff
    • “Welcome to the Crow’s Nest Cafe,” the barista grumbled, clearly reciting something from a script. Shouyou noticed that his deep scowl contrasted with the gleaming white nametag that was neatly pinned on his apron, emblazoned with a smiley face and the words Hi, my name is KAGEYAMA! Kageyama glared down at him. “What can I get for you today?” “Uh,” Shouyou sputtered. Or, the thought of going to a certain cafe just because of an attractive barista was preposterous to Shouyou - until he entered the Crow’s Nest Cafe and met the most gorgeous person he’d ever seen.
  • There's a Different Warmth to You (Call Me Back Home) (pg-13) - d_fenestrate | fluff, slight hurt/comfort
    • For a moment, his mind pauses. Hinata holds his breath as the circling rings disappear and reveal a sweaty Kageyama sitting in what looks like an off-white locker room. “Oi,” Kageyama says immediately. “It’s past 3 am, why are you awake?” alt; Hinata is hit with a wave of homesickness in an unfamiliar form near the end of his stay in Brazil. A FaceTime call from a certain setter seems to be calming enough to send the restless worries away.
  • The Sun (pg) - suga | coffee shop!au, fluff
    • Tobio was already running incredibly late when he walked around the corner and walked head first into the literal sun.
  • I Think I Like You a Latte (pg) - CandyCravingDemon | coffee shop!au, fluff
    • Kageyama always found himself drawn to the small coffee shop on the corner. He couldn’t really explain why. Maybe it was the freshly ground and brewed, rich, decadent coffee that kept drawing him in, or maybe it was the cute sunset haired barista. The last thing he had expected was getting roped into a part-time job at the coffee joint.
  • Wake Up and Smell the Coffee (pg-13) - solicitors | coffee shop!au, fluff
    • Hinata hates the smell of coffee. He hates coffee in general. He doesn’t get the craze about it, really. It tastes like tar to him, especially the black kind, and it makes him feel weird and jumpy inside. Hinata, as it is, works in a coffee shop.
    • Sequel
  • All I Know is You (pg-13) - solicitors | fluff, established relationship, mentions of homophobia
    • Kageyama just wants to make Hinata happy all the time. He guesses that’s just one of the gross side effects of being in love with an idiot.
  • This, Unbeknownst to Him, Is (pg-13) - plutoisgay | coffee shop!au, fluff
    • Bokuto needs a new phone. Miscommunication occurs due to two idiots. Unbeknownst to him, this directly affects Kageyama Tobio.
  • Look at How He's Smiling (pg) - penguinsmile | coffee shop!au, strangers to lovers, hurt/comfort
    • “Hmmm…” Hinata pauses for dramatic effect, Kageyama’s eyes narrow, “Hold the sugar.” Almost immediately, Kageyama reaches for his notepad, but Hinata grabs for it before the barista, “You’re sweet enough for me.” Hinata giggles as he pinpoints the exact moment realization dawns upon the barista. Hinata finds himself attracted to piercing, metallic blue eyes and uses pickup lines to get closer to barista Kageyama.

    • And when he finally does, he doesn't even have to say "I love you".

    • Hinata won’t stop wearing Kageyama’s shirts to bed, and it’s becoming a problem.
  • You're an Effort in Translation (M) - Yuu_chi | college!au, fluff, humor
    • Living with Hinata is a better idea in theory than in practice. Or; Kageyama is stupidly in love and Hinata is "accidentally" irresistible
  • Touch (pg-13) - buu | fluff
    • Hinata doesn't notice it at first, really. It's small things, natural things, like when they sit together at lunch and Hinata ends up hooking his ankle over Kageyama's and he doesn't move away; in fact, he seems to not notice it, and go on eating his lunch like nothing's different.
  • Oh We Play, In Autumn Days (pg-13) - aruariandance | fluff
    • "I think about your collarbones in Calculus," he says, and then waits for death to be swift.
  • Well, Maybe I'm a Crook (pg-13) - aruariandance | angst with a happy ending, hurt/comfort
    • The thing is-- Hinata is in love with Kageyama and everyone knows it, including Kageyama.
  • Shoulder Surfing (pg-13) - emleewrites | humor, fluff, getting together
    • It appears the set has ended – though there’s no scoreboard so who knows who’s keeping track – and Hinata turns to his beach volleyball partner, removing his sunglasses with one smooth movement and- oh dear. Tobio might need to go and lay down on that smooth rock a few feet away to try and calm down. Because Hinata is smiling – bright and wide and infuriatingly perfect – and Tobio had kind of forgotten what it was like to be burnt by sunbeams. Hinata Shouyou stands there, on the beach, with a cap that his new, shorter hair pokes out the sides of in tufts, with fitted shorts and a beautiful smile and- Arms. Nice arms. Very nice arms. In which Kageyama sneaks onto the beach in Brazil to watch Hinata play, and becomes just a little, just a teensy bit obsessed with his new shoulders.
  • Your Whole Life on Your Play (pg) - emleewrites | fluff, proposals
    • “Did you just-“ “Yes.” “Did you just propose to me?” Kageyama wheezes. “Yes.” “We aren’t- we’re not even dating-“ “I know,” Shouyou says cheerfully, snuggling close again, pressing himself against Kageyama from chest to toes. He rubs his nose against his setter’s bridge and dances his fingertips across the nape of his neck. “I don’t care. Marry me anyway.” In which the game between the Jackals and the Adlers ends, and there are two proposals.
  • Professional Announcements (pg-13) - emleewrites | established relationship, humor, fluff
    • Someone had snapped a photo of them just as Hinata had pulled Tobio in for an jubilant kiss as they were leaving the restaurant – both of their faces flushed from joy and victory and a few too many beers. Almost immediately it was on Twitter, and then within hours it had gone viral. “If we just say we’re married, that clears everything up,” Tobio suggests. “Hmmm…” Hinata hums thoughtfully. “Because then everyone will know we’re not actually having a saucy love affair?” “Yeah. We’re just… normal.” “That sounds almost boring.” Tobio gives him a withering look. “Do you want this to continue? We have interviews tomorrow.” In which Hinata and Kageyama wake up to find out they're trending on Twitter, not because they won their game against France yesterday, but because they're apparently in a sordid love affair. In actuality, they're just married. All Kageyama wants to do is sleep in.

But on the last day of school, before summer started, and Shouyou left on vacation, they'd ki—Kageyama screws up his whole face and wriggles around in bed for lack of a better way to express his emotions—they'd kissed.' Summer break is over.
  • Good Weird (pg-13) - Esselle | au, fluff
    • 'If Kageyama didn't know better, he'd say that the look on Hinata's face could be accurately described as "adoring"; but this seems impossible, because Kageyama has never been adoringly stared at in his life, before. Really, he's never been stared at much at all, but that's probably because his default resting expressions range from barren to terrifying. His median is "intimidatingly aloof", and so this has never happened.' Kageyama attempts to solve the mystery of why his new coworker won't stop staring at him.
  • Blush (pg-13) - Esselle | fluff, humor
    • 'A pair of arms grabs Hinata solidly from behind, and he thinks that this is it. Now that he's been the first and only person to see Kageyama embarrassed, Kageyama can't let him live. Maybe he's not the first and only person. Maybe all the other people who embarrassed Kageyama are already dead.' After they start dating, Hinata discovers the one thing that can make Kageyama blush: hugs.
  • 6/10 (pg) - CheekyBrunette | getting together, poor kags with social anxiety
    • Hinata babbled on. “Natsu’s just so annoying sometimes. Everyone comes over and is like, ‘But oh, she’s so cute!’ and, well... yeah, but that doesn’t mean she doesn’t like pushing all my buttons, you know? I mean, this is the third time she stole my blue furoshiki, so I had to wrap my bento with her stupid cat one!” Kageyama’s hands knotted up in the bottom hem of his shorts. “Little sisters are the worst,” he tried. Hinata’s nose scrunched up, and Kageyama’s stomach threatened to tie itself in knots. That had been the wrong thing to say. “Well, she’s not the worst,” Hinata corrected. Kageyama felt stupid for speaking up.
  • One Touch (pg-13) - tsunderei | hurt/comfort, more kags with anxiety

  • Milestones (M) - tsunderei | established relationship, fluff, sexual content
    • It takes a while before Kageyama can finally say what Hinata always says so easily. Or – five times Kageyama didn’t say “I love you” back and one time he did.
