  • THE HUMAN CONDITION (pg-13) ★★★ - mcbeefy | miya atsumu/sakusa kiyoomi, angst with a happy ending, asexual miya atsumu, internalized acephobia, lol this hurt because it was so relatable to me
    • Everything about him goes against human instinct, goes against everything he’s heard and read about the inherent human experience. Is sex really the meaning of human existence? Atsumu doesn't think it is, but everyone else seems to.
  • Bite the Hand (pg-13) ★★★ - srednia | miya atsumu/sakusa kiyoomi, getting together, mutual pining, this made me ache in the best way possible, kind of hurt/comfort
    • The first time Atsumu touches him it’s an honest mistake. Sakusa hits his first ever set with a sound so sharp and clean that a hot prick of pride blooms in the centre of his chest, below his sternum and just right of his heart. It feels so overwhelmingly good to have Sakusa on his side that he doesn’t even think twice about smacking him firmly between the shoulder blades in the afterglow. When his Nice kill, Omi-Omi! is met with a hiss and a full body flinch, guilt flares in the pit of his stomach. It’s barely noticeable, but he should have known — he’s been watching him for years.
  • Even the Sky Knows How to Fall (Silently) (pg) ★★★ - akaashook | miya atsumu/sakusa kiyoomi, angst with a happy ending, another one that makes me ache in the best way possible
    • And if the pain was unbearable, Atsumu endured it. Because it was all his fault. Because he was the one who pushed Sakusa to confess his feelings to Ushijima. Because he let himself fall when he had the chance to step back and not forward. And if he kept going on like that, maybe he'd reach the breaking point. And his heart would no longer be the problem. Why Sakusa? When? How? Atsumu had started to wonder. He had taken that couch of theirs and reduced it to its most microscopic particles. He had decomposed it into pieces, into molecules, into atoms. He needed to understand at what point the road he had chosen had begun to curve, an inch at a time, imperceptible for someone who, like Atsumu, only knows how to look ahead. In that moment more than ever he needed those memories so dear to his old captain, Kita Shinsuke.
  • A P.H.D and M.D Walk into a Bar (pg-13) ★★★ - izayas | miya atsumu/sakusa kiyoomi, peds resident atsumu, stats prof kiyoomi, strangers to lovers, getting together, straight serotonin
    • “i’m supposed to believe that you’re a pediatric resident moonlighting as an undergraduate statistics student, spending your little free time attending my lectures for, what, fun?” sakusa asks. “lies should at least be believable.” atsumu’s nose wrinkles. “omi-kun, yer kinda rude. i’m not moonlightin’. i‘m learnin’.”
  • Insert Coin to Play (E) ★★★ - fairycake | miya atsumu/sakusa kiyoomi, bounty hunter!au, lots of violence, slow burn, nsfw, enemies to lovers, we all saw this one coming right?
    • Miya Atsumu’s been sitting pretty as the top ranked Bounty Hunter in the city for years, but staunch rival Sakusa Kiyoomi has been steadily catching up to him as of late, making Atsumu’s life difficult in more ways than one. With the city entering a state of turmoil, and a mastermind hellbent on wiping out the whole guild of Hunters, they’ll have to set aside their differences and work together if they want to make it out alive. But that’s easier said than done, when neither wants to be the first to give ground.
  • Big League Chew (E) ★★★ - yee_haw23 | miya atsumu/sakusa kiyoomi, baseball!au, enemies to friends to lovers, explicit sexual content, i've been craving baseball aus ever since i read this, its so good
    • “Omi, was it?” And there’s the voice that Sakusa so desperately wishes he could ignore. He turns to meet the catcher’s gaze anyway. “Kiyoomi. I prefer Sakusa.” “Right, Omi. Ya pitch?” "According to my contract.” “Listen,” Atsumu adjusts himself once more so he’s relaxed along the chair rather than sitting on the cushion properly—legs again propped onto the armrest, “I’m gonna be yer catcher nine times outta ten and I love this game. We can both at least agree that a workin’ relationship would be beneficial for the both of us.” finally called up to the majors, kiyoomi is thrilled to be playing baseball just as he always dreamed. until he realizes that playing at this level includes playing nice with miya atsumu—baseball's walking media circus. surely the media couldn't be that wrong about the hot-head catcher, right?
  • I Am Not Your Consort (pg-13) ★★★ - chosolover001 | modern royalty!au, mutual pining, fluff, prince kiyoomi, need i say more?, i am terribly in love with this fic
    • Of all the places in the world, a polo match has to be the worst, most pretentious setting to kick off a romance. Who wants to start their forever with a guy that sits (quite literally) on his high horse and has never seen the inside of a public bathroom? When said romance happens to involve a future king, however, that suddenly becomes the least of piling concerns — Atsumu Miya knows this best.
  • Commit to Memory (pg-13 for now) - vaporstretch | absolute fluff, some awkward flirting
    • Sakusa doesn't go for it like Atsumu had nervously anticipated, heart wild like a thunderstorm against his ribcage. Instead he pulls back a fraction of an inch before finally landing a soft kiss on the corner of Atsumu's mouth. "Was that okay?" Sakusa asks him after pulling back.
  • Livestream (pg-13) - sketchedsmiles | college!au, fluff, getting together
    • Sakusa is used to attention. As a full-time student and a part-time streamer, his videos of gameplay garner thousands of views on a daily basis. Still, nothing can prepare him for what it's like to have the attention of Miya Atsumu. Atsumu is many things: chatty, endearing, earnest. But he's more observant than most give him credit for. And he might be the only person who reminds Sakusa to take care of himself.
  • Terminal Curiosity (E) - favspacetwink, moonlumie | BDSM, porn with plot
    • “Hey, Miya—” “I saw the sex stuff in your bathroom,” Atsumu violently blurts against his will. Time stretches out, eternal, unending… the void at the beginning and end of all things coming to claim Atsumu as he stands in his borrowed house slippers by Sakusa’s door. There’s a ringing in his ears, or perhaps it’s the laughter of some vengeful god. Sakusa’s expression doesn’t outwardly change. His eyes feel like they’re drilling holes in Atsumu’s head. “It’s not sex stuff. It’s bondage gear.”
  • Burden of Blame (E) - DeathBelle | yakuza!au, slow burn, explicit violence and sexual content
    • Atsumu has a long history of pissing people off, but this time he’s gone too far. Someone wants him dead, and although he doesn’t know who or why, it becomes clear very quickly that both he and Osamu are in danger. After a couple of close calls, Kita - the Kumicho of Inarizaki - decides it’s not safe for the two of them to stay in Hyogo; not until he finds out who placed the hit and eliminates them. Atsumu reluctantly finds himself in Tokyo, taken in by a yakuza group that’s nothing like Inarizaki. The Black Jackals are a different breed, more lethal than he’s used to, and Sakusa Kiyoomi is the worst of them all. Of course that’s who Atsumu gets stuck with, and he and Sakusa are in constant competition for who hates each other more. Tokyo should be a safe haven but between Atsumu’s bloody new assignments, the lingering threat on his life, and all the days trapped with Sakusa, Atsumu isn’t sure he’ll make it out of Tokyo alive.
    • Sequel
  • Where I Want to Be (pg) - tookumade | established relationship, fluff
    • In the time they’ve been teammates at the MSBY Black Jackals, Sakusa has never been to Atsumu’s place, and Atsumu has only been to Sakusa’s a few times. There’s an unspoken understanding here: that Atsumu knows him well enough to know that nobody’s house or apartment would ever really meet his ridiculously high standards, and he is most comfortable in the home he’s made for himself. That, and, Atsumu being over at Sakusa’s means that he has to host him and do the cleaning afterwards, while Atsumu can just flit off back to his own place. So. There’s that. Tonight. Tonight is not business as usual. Tonight is not familiar.
  • On the Basis of Instant Noodles (pg-13) - auvelli | college!au, getting together, fluff
    • Miya Atsumu hadn’t anticipated his love life thriving on the basis of instant noodles - but maybe he’s not complaining. (aka, college au where Suna, thank god, has a microwave in his dorm room that Atsumu frequents, but Suna’s roommate is Sakusa Kiyoomi and well, maybe he finds himself over there a little more often than necessary)
  • Shades of Ink (E) - DeathBelle | tattoo artists!au, getting together, explicit sexual content
    • It’s fortunate that Miya Atsumu is such a good tattoo artist, because that appears to be his only redeeming quality. He’s too loud, too cocky, and so overtly flirtatious that Sakusa almost leaves the shop before he even steps inside. But he’s seen firsthand that Atsumu does good work, so he stays and suffers through it. The longer he's there, the more he thinks maybe Atsumu isn't all bad. When Atsumu asks for a tattoo from Sakusa’s shop in return, Sakusa knows he should turn Atsumu down. He doesn’t. What should have been a routine business transaction turns into something more hands-on than either of them expected.
  • Miya Atsumu's Unwavering Love for Sakusa Kiyoomi and an Unholy Amount of Terrible Food Analogies that Should Not Have the Right to Exist (pg) - aiviloti | fluff
    • Five times Miya Atsumu talks to (harasses) his friends and sibling because he has feelings for Sakusa and doesn't know what to do or how to deal with them and the one time he talks to Sakusa about it. “How do you make friends apart from showering them in praise?” Atsumu wails one night, and Osamu thinks, oh god, here we go again.
  • Ink Blossoms (pg-13) - entrechat | tattoo parlor & flower shop!au, friends to lovers, fluff
    • Opening a flower shop wasn’t the first idea Atsumu had for his future but in retrospect he wouldn’t trade it for anything. There was a certain joy in arrangements and learning the language of flowers so each bouquet meant something perfect. His little flower shop was a humble but bright place among the cobblestone plaza and people came and went with flowers for their loved ones. The business was good, the customers were kind, and the company he kept was amazing. It was perfect. At least until the tattoo parlor across the plaza finally opened.
  • Rain Down (pg-13) - fellestar | angst with happy ending, hurt/comfort
    • Atsumu is always careful about arriving at his boyfriend’s apartment in top condition: freshly showered, clothes laundered and pressed, bouquet of flowers ready to present to Sakusa’s unamused, yet admittedly pleased face. All his hard work—thoroughly destroyed by an unexpected storm.
  • You have been Weighed in the Balance (and Found Wanting) (pg-13) - SugarHighs | fluff, mild hurt/comfort, getting together
    • Sakusa casts one last suspicious look towards Atsumu, before jogging off. Atsumu lets out a breath he didn’t know he was holding. Even he is not that dense in the face of these glaringly obvious symptoms. Atsumu pulls up Google again, and looks up “Exorcists near me”. - Sakusa's latest ad campaign and a series of dreams send Atsumu off on a very necessary spiral.
  • Intertwined (pg-13) - Anubis_2701 | soulmate!au, growing up, fluff
    • Atsumu first found himself switching into his soulmate's body at age four. The visit itself was short, disorienting, and he learned next to nothing about the person who was apparently perfect for him. But it was all the switches after that which counted, and the more he switched bodies with Sakusa Kiyoomi, the more he fell in love with him.
  • Who Could Have Seen This Coming? (M) - crone_zone | fluff, hurt/comfort, getting together, implied sexual content
    • Peering out the side of his eyes at the man walking beside him, Sakusa wondered why he’d impulsively changed his mind about his plans this evening when he’d noticed Miya’s reluctance. Surely he wasn’t worried about this asshole, was he? -- In which Sakusa impulsively invites Atsumu over to his apartment when he sees he's upset and something entirely unexpected happens: he realizes he likes this asshole. Cue [off-camera]sex, mutual confessions, insecurity, and adorable losers who are opposite in all the right ways.
  • Just as Much (pg-13) - Sapphirine | fluff, humor, getting together
    • Atsumu rushes out of the bathroom, almost face planting on the slippery tiles, and frantically dials his brother’s number. The moment his twin picks up, he says, “I think I have a crush on Omi-kun.” Atsumu can hear Samu rolling his eyes. “Congratulations on yer gay awakenin’,” he drawls sarcastically and for once, Atsumu doesn’t snap anything back at him because he’s still freaking out. Miya Atsumu has never loved anything more than volleyball. He doesn't think he ever will. Sakusa Kiyoomi might just prove him wrong.
  • A Challenge, A Cat, and A Confessions (pg) - Kitaa | fluff, getting together
    • Atsumu enjoys bothering Sakusa. One day he bothers him enough to be invited over to his apartment, only to discover that Sakusa has a plant, a cat, and a cute laugh.
  • Cooking for the Soul (Made with Love) (pg) - catalyst (xo_thefirst) | established relationship, fluff, slice of life
    • Kiyoomi wakes to the scent of food cooking and Atsumu’s off-key singing.
  • Foxes Under Saturn (pg) - yuuki | angst with a happy ending, getting together
    • And Kiyoomi said, “I think I’m in love with you.” Atsumu scuffed the sidewalk with his shoe, and Kiyoomi wondered what he was thinking. Maybe he’d say something like, ‘yeah, me too. I think I’m in love with you, too.’ Instead, Atsumu lightly tapped his shoe against Kiyoomi’s. “Dude,” he said, “that’s cute. I’m flattered.”
  • Like Phantom Pain (pg-13) - firtree | slight angst
    • Miya Atsumu absolutely does not want to date Sakusa Kiyoomi. At least that's what he keeps telling himself.
  • Peaches and Blackberries are Sweeter Together (pg-13) - shortlock | atsumu character study, introspection, getting together(?)
    • It’s because Atsumu can’t quite call his apartment “home” that he doesn’t want to go back right now, why he’ll stay at the MSBY court and practice his sets and serves with music as his only companion. It’s why he sort-of wants to follow Sakusa Kiyoomi around until the spiker yells him away. “Heater’s broken,” he offers easily, the taste of peach still heavy on his tongue. “I don’t care. Quit following me.” Atsumu doesn’t understand how Sakusa can remain as still as a statue in the cold while he’s bouncing up and down on his toes just to generate some heat. He grins, a cheesy idea coming to mind. “Omi-Omi, y’ know ‘m only followin’ ya’ cuz my parents taught me to follow my dreams.” Aha- The tips of Sakusa’s ears turn flushed red, and he immediately turns his head to the side, muttering, “For the love of god, don’t ever speak again.” basically, atsumu kinda' thinks kiyoomi has pretty hands and pretty hair. cue the question, "will ya' take me out on a date?"
  • Do it For the Memories (pg-13) - sktserotonin | humor, fluff, slow burn
    • Sunday, March 20th, 2016. Sakusa Kiyoomi is 20 years old. Kiyoomi doesn't resent having Komori Motoya for a cousin, but it must count for something that the peace he was granted when he went to college and Motoya went to the pros is being disrupted today - of all days - courtesy of the birthday party-slash-scavenger hunt that Motoya has planned.
  • Fox Fire (pg-13) - Trickster398 | modern magic!au, slow burn
    • Sakusa just wanted to be left alone. The Kitsune had other ideas.
  • Roll On, Seventh Wheel (pg-13) - mika60 | friends with detriments lol, friends to lovers
    • After conquering mountains to become Sakusa Kiyoomi’s best friend, Atsumu must now face his next daunting task: handle an entire team clamoring to become Sakusa Kiyoomi’s boyfriend.
  • The Art of Folding a Handkerchief (pg-13) - emleewrites | humor, fluff
    • “Atsumu-san’s just realised he likes Sakusa-san,” Shouyou says simply, as though announcing the weather. “Ahh,” Bokuto nods sagely, standing up straight and nodding his head, as though this was a perfectly normal thing to hear and not monumental in any way. “'Ahh?'” Atsumu protests, indignantly, “what do ya mean ‘ahh?’” “We were wondering when you were going to notice,” Bokuto shrugs, and Atsumu gawps at him. “'Scuse me?” He splutters, and whips his gaze around to Shouyou, who bobs his head at him in confirmation. “How did you two notice before I did?” Atsumu blurts out. "Most people do," Shouyou says softly. In which Atsumu develops something annoying, like feelings for a teammate, but at least he has a couple of wingmen and Tobio's seemingly infinite resources to help him out.
  • Home is Where the Heart is (pg) - trouvqille | established relationship, hurt/comfort
    • “Get some sleep, I’ll be here.” The alluring heaviness in his eyes takes over and Atsumu slowly drifts off into the blissful world of the unconscious. Just before he fully succumbs he mumbles a small, “I know ya will.”
  • The MSBY Black Jackals Read Thirst Tweets (E) - isaksara (syailendra) | annoyances to annoyances with benefits to lovers, humor, social media
    • Sakusa’s eyes are very dark naturally, sucking in all surrounding rays of light and crushing them in his pupils. For an athlete, he is rather pale. His lips look very pink in comparison. Atsumu is suddenly catastrophically aware that in this instance, ‘accent’ is a euphemism. “Good enough for your Olympic-size ego, Miya?” (In which Atsumu realizes that he is attracted to Sakusa Kiyoomi in the most inconvenient way possible.)
  • Liminal Spaces (pg-13) - hatsuna | slow burn, canon compliant
    • Fuck you, Atsumu thinks, pointing at the pixelated Sakusa in the team photo on his bedside table. It’s easier than you’d think to ignore loving your teammate.
  • Clipped to You (pg-13) - littleboat | fluff
    • It starts with Hinata Natsu, of all people. Well, if Atsumu’s being honest with himself, it started way before that, but he’s not, so that’s besides the point. And thankfully, he’s just petty enough to blame all of his problems on a thirteen year old girl. or Sakusa starts wearing hair clips and Atsumu is more than a little obsessed
  • Bet On It (pg-13) - selenophim | secret relationship, humor
    • Volleyball players are known for a lot of things. Intense plays, long rallies, arm-breaking serves—those are to name a few. But in Japan, the volleyball players (high school, college, and professionals alike) are infamous for something that no one really expected: their betting pool. (or alternately, everyone finds out that one of the best spikers in Japan, Sakusa Kiyoomi, is dating someone and they try to figure out his identity while the person he’s dating remains clueless about it.)
  • Your Highs and Lows (E) - astroeulogy | getting together, fluff, navigating a relationship
    • a post-time skip canonverse series born from these two questions: 1. what if sakusa kiyoomi, known too-blunt jerk, is equally straightforward about his soft, tender feelings? 2. what if miya atsumu, resident big fat jerk who doesn't care if his teammates hate him, is too emotionally stunted to notice when his one of his teammates actually likes him?
  • The SakuAtsu Documentary by the MSBY Black Jackals (pg-13) - lettersinpetals | humor, getting together, fluff, enemies to lovers
    • Meian: So, our manager thought it would be a good idea for us to do some kind of weekly diary vlog or something, where we also answer questions from fans. However… Bokuto: This idea is more fun! We have a problem! Inunaki: Yes. As you may have noticed there are two missing members, and they are the bane of my existence. Adriah: The whole team’s existence. Namely, Sakusa Kiyoomi and Miya Atsumu. Barnes: They are also the reason we are hiding inside Hinata’s room like idiots. Because once again...they are fighting. - The MSBY Black Jackals manage to capture how two idiots fall in love in a series of vlogs.
  • Your Body, My Home (pg-13) - astroeulogy | sick fic, established relationship
    • “Fine,” he snaps. “I’ll get checked out. But I’m tellin’ ya—” and here he looks heavenwards, issuing a challenge to god themself, “—I’m not sick.”
  • Every Action has an Equal and Opposite Reaction (pg-13) - akanemnida | fluff, humor, pining
    • Miya Atsumu gets a modeling contract with Calvin Klein, which sets Kiyoomi's heart in motion. (Or: Sakusa Kiyoomi realizes that the rules governing the universe are absolute rubbish at explaining matters of the heart.)
  • Notice (pg-13) - bastigod | getting together, fluff
    • Embarrassingly, Miya Atsumu is the third person to notice his crush on Sakusa. And it's his crush in the first place.
  • Interlude (pg-13) - cinnamonlove | time loop, fluff, hurt/comfort, slight angst,
    • He’d seen it in dramas and foreign movies—the protagonist always has to overcome his greatest fear or finally act on his deepest desire in order to escape. Luckily, those two things were one and the same for Kiyoomi. Unluckily, this likely meant that he had to choose between slowly going insane from the loops or finally confessing his secret romantic feelings for Miya Atsumu. It was a tough decision. (Trapped in a time loop of his 25th birthday, Kiyoomi takes advantage of the repeats to finally act on his feelings for Atsumu.)
  • To Fall Down (And Get Back Up) (E) - confettitty | single parent!au, fluff
    • The universe must have it out for him, Kiyoomi thinks, because never in his life has he ever suffered from a series of unfortunate events. He’s a careful person—some might say too careful of a person, but he is adamant in his disagreeing because it has saved his ass one too many times from circumstances he’d much prefer avoiding rather than trying to struggle his way out of them. “Michi,” Kiyoomi said cautiously, finding his spot beside her, “what are you looking at?” “Any second now,” she had mumbled, curl of her lip scarily resembling Kiyoomi’s own when he’s feeling snippety and halfway through a tease. He lifted his head again and sipped at his coffee. What on earth could be so entertaining that it had drawn Michiko’s attention like this? Well, it presented itself—in the form of red shorts, a white pair of jogging sneakers, and a wide expanse of beautiful, tanned skin. What topped it all off was the blonde hair, horrifyingly brassy and untoned, bouncing on his head with every step that he took. Kiyoomi had choked promptly on his coffee, and that was when the chaos had ensued.
  • Three Roses and a Smile (pg-13) - strawberrycitrus | college professors!au, fluff?, barely there angst
    • “I just got this job, I’m not givin’ it up for some moral boost ‘cause I actually need to pay my rent, ya insensitive -” Atsumu waves his hands around, trying and failing to come up with the right word to convey the amount of injustice that this gaunt motherfucker has brought into his relatively simple life thus far. “If you can’t pay your rent, go get a job at the McDonald’s over by 8th Street,” Sakusa growls, “it’ll pay more than your researcher position.” If you even attempt assault on a coworker, forget teaching about cells - you’ll fucking be in one, Atsumu.
  • The Greek Tragedy of Atsumu's Love Life (E) - SageGreenSadness | college!au, coffee shop!au, enemies to lovers
    • Atsumu hates pretentious people, especially those who have the audacity to tell him what to do. So really meeting Sakusa Kiyoomi was a recipe for disaster. Alternatively, Atsumu and Sakusa drive each other up the wall until they drive each other into bed.
  • Friday, Saturday, Sundate (pg-13) - mcbeefy | fluff, getting together
    • Kiyoomi is prepared to do whatever it takes to avoid attending his niece's baby shower, even if it means becoming Atsumu's plus-one for a Miya wedding. He just hopes he won't regret this.
  • Somniphobia (pg-13) - Mslo | hurt/comfort, fluff, anxiety
    • “Who gets scared of falling asleep? Atsumu wanted to shout at the universe, but he knew those cold, distant stars held no answers for him. So instead, Atsumu kept talking. He knew his eyes were too wide and probably looked a bit wild, but he was careening now—filled with shame and embarrassment and anger and confusion. The words he had never spoken to anybody before came out now like a river, and Sakusa drank them all.” In which Atsumu has anxiety, but luckily for him, Sakusa also has anxiety.
  • Don't Fear the Reaper (pg-13) - priorwalter | humor, character death but not in a bad way, no angst i promise
    • “Miya Atsumu,” Kiyoomi reads aloud. “Anaphylaxis.” This is the first time Kiyoomi, reaper of souls, meets Miya Atsumu. ‘Meets’ in only the loosest sense of the word; ‘meets’ in the sense that Kiyoomi, great hulking wings and all, looms over his dead body and peels the soul neatly off of his skeleton with masterful precision and deadly sharp fingernails. Well, he would have, were it not for Miya Atsumu’s miraculous recovery. Kiyoomi glares at his vomit-yellow hair splayed out on the hospital bed and wonders if he has heard of toner. Perhaps he just doesn’t care; it makes sense for someone who apparently takes ‘may contain peanuts’ as a challenge.
  • Character Development (M) - fleurs_partout | friends to lovers, light angst, OCD,
    • Atsumu locks his apartment door behind him and exhales a breath he hadn’t realised he’d been holding. /Stop being weird/, he tells himself. But when he closes his eyes and tries to regulate his breathing, he is immediately presented with the image of Kiyoomi’s doe eyes, black as onyx, widened with intent, cheeks flushed– /Fuck./
  • Hold Me, Touch Me, Love Me (Be the First Who Ever Did) (E) - breedlejuice | explicit content, first times, fluff
    • Atsumu is like a summer day. A little wild, a little free, a little suffocating with all of his unavoidable warmth. He is easy to love in ways that Kiyoomi never thought he’d be. So, maybe that is what has convinced him to open his heart, and to offer up a part of himself no one else has taken.
  • Change in the Climate (pg-13) - priorwalter | college!au, getting together, tourettes syndrome
    • Sakusa Kiyoomi is uptight and irritating and waspish and haughty. Atsumu is also, unfortunately, in love with him.
  • The Art of Rebuttal (pg-13) - kiwiking | idiots in love, established relationship, relationship reveal
    • What Sakusa Kiyoomi is not, however, is careless. Compound that notion with his penchant for keeping his private life, well, private, and his shock at Inunaki’s question does not seem entirely unwarranted. “So, Sakusa,” Inunaki asks with an impish smile. “How long have you and Atsumu been dating?” The MSBY Jackals find out Kiyoomi and Atsumu are dating when Kiyoomi accidentally takes a sip out of Atsumu’s glass of water during an outing. It goes as well as you might expect.
  • But a Tyrant Spell has Bound Me (and I cannot go) (pg-13) - themidnightbagel | exposure therapy, established relationship, hurt/comfort, fluff
    • ERP, or exposure response and prevention therapy. The process was, on the face of it, quite simple. ERP took “facing your fears” literally and worked by exposing someone to the thoughts or situations that triggered their compulsions while prohibiting them from doing the behavior. Simple in theory, agony in practice. Four times Atsumu helps Kiyoomi with exposure therapy for his OCD and one time he doesn't need to.
  • Time Flies When You're Falling in Love (pg-13) - dykeyuu | college!au, fluff, getting together
    • “This is so dumb, Tsumu. This is a new low for you, really. And that’s countin’ the time ya left the back door open at the restaurant and let raccoons inta the kitchen. I shoulda eaten ya in the womb. Miya Atsumu, simpin’ for a man he’s never met.” The companion (brother? Twin?) says. Kiyoomi hears the neighbor, Atsumu, squawk indignantly. “First of all, that was an accident,” Atsumu whispers, although in his agitation, he isn’t really whispering all that quietly. “Second of all, this is not dumb! He said he liked my drawin’, Samu! And the other day, I overheard him listenin’ to Cigarettes After Sex when I walked past his door— I’ve gotta be friends with him!” or: kiyoomi leaves a sticky note on his neighbor's door for a perfectly valid reason, and all of a sudden he's friends with his neighbor, except instead of doing normal friend things, they communicate exclusively through sticky notes.
  • Plants and Other Actions (pg-13) - Nen_nny | getting together, idiots in love, fake plant saga
    • It was a win in his books really, fake plants meant no pesky bugs, they looked great in his apartment, and he didn’t have to actually care for them. So he immediately bought five more. Months after settling into his apartment he grew a small little collection, nothing too much– entirely too much, but just enough to make his once empty space feel more full. So of course his little empire of fake plants would come crashing down at the hands of one Miya Atsumu. And coffee Instagram posts. But mostly Miya Atsumu. Or: Kiyoomi, plant murderer and fake plant connoisseur and Atsumu, residential plant expert and dumbass who can't differentiate between real and fake plants despite owning real plants: two idiots in love
  • I Keep a Window Open for You, It's Always Open (pg-13) - volchitsae | college!au, coffeeshop!au, fluff, asmr youtube kiyoomi
    • Atsumu scrolls around on YouTube, feeling like he's spiralling a little into the odd corners of it when some recommended videos are "I'm a Plague Doctor and You've Been Diagnosed with the Black Plague ASMR" or videos of people eating truly remarkable amounts of food. No judgement (maybe a little bit, he's no angel), but mukbangs make him hungry and whispering roleplay makes his ears itch. A video called "Study With Me: Pomodoro Technique #1" appears and he clicks on it. The channel's name is endomiphins, and the thumbnail features a view of a man from the neck downward at his desk, notebook and laptop open. Atsumu presses play -- Sakusa is a barista by day, ASMR and study YouTuber by night, and Atsumu falls a little in love with both.
  • Problem (pg) - Lineal | fluff, cuddles, mutual pining

At least he’s allowed to hold this much in his own two hands. Anything more is just being selfish. But Atsumu has always been greedy.

But now Kiyoomi has seen the aftermath of a different Atsumu, one who wears mascara and gold hoops, and every time he looks at Atsumu’s bright, sweaty face in the middle of practice, he can’t help but wonder at the shape of him that Sunday night. • This Time Around (E) - pointlessnarrations | enemies to lovers, feelings with porn, angst with a happy ending
    • Please don't make us a duo, Kiyoomi wills silently, because he would really, really like to limit his time with Miya. He thinks he tells Coach Foster as much, but is later told that he didn't actually refute the latter at all, and that what came out of his mouth is a characteristically eloquent "Yeah", followed by Miya promptly translating his words against his will. "He means ya can count on us, Coach, " Miya said saccharinely, a smarmy smile plastered across his lazy-eyed face. Kiyoomi hates it. He hates that he doesn't refute it. You’d be a step ahead of him if ya did. He might even raise an eyebrow in surprise or somethin’ equally as scandalous.” Kiyoomi stares at him, narrows his gaze as he scrutinises Atsumu’s face, the challenge in the upturned corners of his lips. “Are you attempting to manipulate me, Miya?” he asks. “I dunno. Is it workin’?” “Kind of.” "Then yeah, I guess.” When Kiyoomi and Atsumu accidentally pull off a minus-tempo quick during practice, Atsumu convinces Kiyoomi to practice it for the new season. But out of all of them, he knows he’s the one Kiyoomi’s closest to, the most open with. So he knows that, despite not seeming like it, Kiyoomi can talk a lot, especially if it’s about something embarrassing for Atsumu. I was there,” Hinata announces. Then, “I was the cockroach.” Based on the Glamour Magazine Friendship Test series.
  • A Soft Place to Call Home (pg-13) - yee_haw23 | fluff, getting together to established relationship, friends to lovers
    • Kiyoomi has never felt lonely—not until Kageyama showed up and turned Kiyoomi’s early mornings into this. Hushed voices reach Kiyoomi’s ears; the wall muffles what’s said, so he doesn’t even get the benefit of eavesdropping, but he does have to hear that wave of laughter again. Loneliness and something even more grating eat at his core now. Sakusa Kiyoomi struggles with loneliness in the face of his roommate's new relationship. His usual reliance on one Miya Atsumu ends up being the best decision he could make—even if he wants to kick himself in the moment.

  • Count on You (pg) - ftld | idiots to lovers, humor
    • It was the most important job Atsumu had ever taken on. Other than the Olympics, of course, not even Sakusa Kiyoomi’s sharp profile, brutal wit, and permanently mussed hair could compete with the Olympics. But dog sitting was a close second to international glory, especially when Sakusa had never afforded the privilege to anyone short of a professional or blood relative before. “Not even Ushiwaka?” Atsumu had asked, dumbfounded, when Sakusa shared this bit of anxiety, nervously fidgeting inside Atsumu’s door with a duffel slung over his shoulder and a suitcase at his feet. Not even Ushiwaka.
  • When Atsumu Think About Love (pg-13) - GlitchyCookie | atsumu-centric, give atsumu a hug, weddings, idiots to lovers
    • When Atsumu thinks about love, he thinks about being 17 again and sitting in the back seat of the car he and Osamu used to share, watching as his brother falls hopelessly in love with his best friend. He thinks about all the dopey heart eyes he had to endure and all the sloppy, exaggerated kisses pressed against cheeks just to spite him. He thinks about how he often wanted to unlock his door and fall out of the car into oncoming traffic when the couple got lost in their own little world, leaving him behind in dreary reality. To Atsumu, love will always be something other people experience. Yes, he's had his fair share of relationships and flings now that he's 23, but he's never been close enough to love to touch the word with a ten-foot pole. Atsumu loves volleyball, and Osamu, and his ma, and fatty tuna, and if that's all he can love for the rest of his life, then that's okay. If he's lying, that's his business.
  • The Babygirl-ification of Sakusa Kiyoomi (pg) - biatsumu | lots of flirting, getting together, oblivious kiyoomi

    • Kiyoomi has a third epiphany: Miya is, most likely, his friend. Which means that Motoya isn’t his only friend anymore, which also means Motoya is now his best friend. Kiyoomi hates it here. (Or, Kiyoomi and Osamu are flatmates, the student life is not rose-colored, and Atsumu shows up at the most unexpected times in the most expected places. Kiyoomi is... dealing with it.)
  • The Science of Kissing (M) - winterwaltz6 | getting together, pining, friends to lovers
    • Atsumu is careful with his tone—any hint of judgement and it’s a guarantee that Sakusa will tell him to shut up and fuck off. “Just curious how that works, is all. Like—you just don’t kiss anyone? Ever?” Sakusa’s expression is bland. “Every ten seconds of kissing that involves full tongue contact and the sharing of saliva means you’re exchanging over 80 million bacterial cells.” It’s not like this answer surprises him, and yet it’s not really an answer at all. “Uh-huh.” Atsumu nods like he cares, like the exchange of 80 million units of bacteria should make him want to never have “full tongue contact” with anyone again. He could smack himself for starting this conversation when Sakusa doesn’t have a shirt on because now he feels weirdly into the word saliva. “So… never then?” Atsumu obsesses over the idea of kissing Sakusa Kiyoomi.
  • Someday Maybe (E) - crocodile | friends with benefits, light angst, kiyoomi is bad at feelings
    • “I think I’m in love with you,” Atsumu says, sleepy and lilting, from the aisle to the left. Kiyoomi says nothing in return, examining the fridge unit full of prepackaged meals before him. “Omi-kun, didja hear me?” Kiyoomi glances over at Atsumu. Atsumu isn’t looking at him; he’s holding two spicy ramen packages up to his face, squinting at the ingredients lists because he refuses to bring his glasses anywhere public. “I was hoping you were talking to the ramen,” Kiyoomi says.

  • Play Among the Stars (E) - buttonstuck | science fiction, prison guard!kiyoomi, criminal!atsumu_, enemies to friends to lovers, slow burn, this is so fucking good
    • Sakusa Kiyoomi wasn’t even supposed to be on the goddamn moon. He was a personal bodyguard, one of the best in the business, but a single mistake got him shipped off to spend some time in penance as a correctional officer on a dumb lunar prison. A prison where his skills were wasted on fetching things for inmates, making sure they got to bed, and occasionally--god forbid--touching them. Space was terrible, but perhaps the most terrible thing about it was a certain prisoner named Miya Atsumu. So of course Kiyoomi would end up stranded there, alone, with him.
  • Flower /Signs/ (pg-13) - Squidlywhiplash | coffee shop!au, flower shop!au, getting together, sign language, fluff
    • Atsumu’s brain promptly shuts off, closes up shop and goes home for the day. The mystery man is really, really hot. Like easily the hottest person Atsumu had ever seen, hot. Looked to be around his age too, which was a definite bonus. “How can I help you, sir?” His voice was deep, but as flat as the face he wore. No hint of emotion coloring his words. It’s not that he looked rude or angry, it was more like he was uninterested. As if Atsumu wasn’t interesting, which he definitely was, thank you very much. The man had asked him a question, yet Atsumu had no response. Was he even allowed to talk to someone so beautiful? It wasn’t as if he himself wasn’t attractive. Plenty of people had told him otherwise, enough so that his ego had doubled in size since high school. When a full minute had passed and Atsumu hadn’t said anything, nor looked away from who he would dub as ‘hot flower shop guy’, the man started to move his hands in quick, efficient movements. Is that sign language?

Brave his six-year-delayed heat alone and face the consequences, or find someone willing to help him out. Add onto that brand new experiences he cheated himself out of thanks to constant suppressants and a ticking clock, and it seems as though the omega has found himself in quite the pickle. Featuring budding omega friendships, and new found feelings (w/ a healthy dose of denial).
  • I've Been Getting Lost in Translation (pg-13) - breathepurple (bleedpurple) | getting back together, miscommunication, hurt/comfort
    • He wonders who could be there as he approaches his door, wonders who needs to see him so badly they’d brave the rain. Atsumu flings the door open, unbothered by the cartoon foxes printed all over his pajama pants. He’s expecting to see his brother, or maybe a teammate in need of a favor. The last thing he expects is Sakusa Kiyoomi. Every relationship has a learning curve. Atsumu and Kiyoomi’s was just steeper than most. Kiyoomi has only ever known how to love someone quietly. Atsumu is the polar opposite. Perhaps things would’ve been easier if they weren’t such prideful bastards.
