- And that, along with studies of foreign history, further notions of administration, biology, ballistics and notions of medicine, everything he studied on his own during the length of 27 years (22 years being committed with military service), classify him as an autodidact and polymath;

- Before his mother died, she ripped off the dog tag of the soldier that executed her. The name reads "Tomohara Shigure". He guarded this name very dearly, as the man he swore that would die a long, agonizing, breaking death by his very hands, until there would be nothing but ashes.
- He stopped commemorating Chuseok since 19 years old in honor of his family, that died in this period.
- He still has sweet memories of his mother and sister dressed in beautiful choson-ot, dancing and smiling in Ganggangsullae, and those are the ones that hurt the most.
- While his family was alive, he was a very different man. Pacific, open-minded and good-hearted, his goal was to, one day, make North Korea change, being open to the world and being its military force, acting as a friend to all countries and repressing terrorists and dictators. That was the utopia he saw.
- Innocent dreams long gone, as he doesn't even dare remembering this. Now he doesn't have nothing left, not even a heart.
