For Essay Writing:

  • Always start with the mind maps and random lists according to the topics provided
  • Draft early but don't actually write
  • get all possible questions out of the way
  • once you get the essay topics, begin using post-its to find coursework that will help make points
  • if its a research essay, start reading about the subject early
  • you've got a solid style and writing skill, course content is the major issue

For Sciences:

  • Always start with a formula sheet in front, add them as the year goes by
  • Take class notes on loose paper, do review questions in notebooks
  • Use videos for biology (for processes like ETC, photosynthesis)
  • Diagrams are important, draw them, print them , USE THEM
  • For Labs: Use your old biology ones as guides
            • make sure you understand the concepts involved in the lab prior to doing it
  • skip past the stupid hash and get into the stuff that causes you difficulty first
  • review notes everyday, even if its extremely brief

For Math:
