The people, places, things, and memories that bring me some form of joy.
- First and foremost, family.
- My boyfriend.
- My good friends: Lori. Rob. Jose.
- Coming across one of the songs that I used to listen to when I was younger, and finally being able to put a band-name and song-name to it.
- Singing. In the shower, in the car, in front of others, while playing Rock Band / Guitar Hero; it doesn't matter. I just adore the action, and the release.
- Writing. In almost any form. ( Lyric-writing. Short stories. Persuasive Essays. Filling out Myspace surveys. Free-writes. Fanfictions. Poems. Etc. )
- Categorizing my music lists and keeping them organized and easy to navigate.
- Reading, and being bookwormish when no one is around to disrupt me.
- Going out for long, aimless drives. And bringing unsuspecting 'victims' with me. Like Nick. (:
- Blasting my music in the car.
- Sleeping through the night, or feeling as though I have had enough rest. Mm, energy.
- Attending Trading Card Game tournaments, like Magic: The Gathering.
- Watching anime, and reading Manga. Also, obsessing over the level of perfection in my favorite characters.
- Texting.
- InterwebzZz surfing.
- Cudding with my boyfriend, and displaying / receiving affection.
- Foreign Horror Movies.
- My birthday, or any other holiday where I tend to have extra money and material items.
- Having a full tank of gas.
- Having a huge stash of blank CDs with which to make Mix CDs for people I care about.
- Long, semi-pointless ( but undoubtedly engaging ) conversations about everything and nothing.
- Balmy summer nights, spent on the front / back porch, talking with friends until we're too tired to stay awake.
- Having a movie, song, or book profoundly touch me, or wake me up, move me, or affect me in some manner.
- Jelly bracelets. Of all colors.
- Discovering music that I really, really enjoy; and then immediately being able to download it, and listen to it whenever I want.
- Sites like Pandora, which introduce me to all kinds of different music, without me needing to do much of anything.
- My mp3 player; it's my buddy.
- Small fonts.
- Laughing so hard that it hurts to breathe for a few minutes after, or until I'm coughing, and almost tearing up.
- Any memory that reminds me of " The Good Ol' Days. "
- Going camping with friends and family, and sitting around the campfire--roasting marshmallows and letting the night sink in deeply.
- Waking up on a fresh morning after a rough night, and feeling so much better, and unburdened.
- Exercise(ing). It just makes me feel more upbeat when I'm feeling unreasonably melancholic.
- Cool vocals. People with unusual voices that they aren't afraid to use to the best of their abilities.
- Dressing in whatever I like, and in whatever makes me feel comfortable and whole.
- Having the feeling of freedom within myself to walk into whatever store I want, regardless of what trend it might belong to, and buy whatever the heck seems like " Me. " Even if I get dirty looks for being the only " gawff " in a preppy store, or the only " prep " in Hot Topic.
- When I realize that other people around me [around my age] are also slowly starting to come to terms with the fact that "fitting in" by way of clothing-choice is vastly overrated, and that labels are something that are primarily a juvenile, high school student issue, and not an issue of someone more ... focused on other things ( because I am not going to say " mature ", because I'm certainly not there yet. Haha. ).
- Talking to someone I haven't talked with in ages, and feeling like no time has passed at all.
- Feeling understood, or as though someone else passionately shares opinions close to mine.
- Standing up for things that I believe in.
- Having a nice, clean, quiet house in which to relax.
- Finally having a computer up in my bedroom, so now I can roll straight out of bed, and get right online. Even though I don't really do that.
- My morning coffee fix. Hazelnut creamer included.
- Receiving long messages or comments on some Social Networking site like Myspace.
- Icons. Quotes. Surveys. Pictures.
- Taking photographs. Of myself. Or of other things.
- Photo manipulation and other editing programs. Creating icons. Creating cool images. Creating cool graphics.
- Downloadable fonts, and lots of them!
- Watching band interviews on Youtube. I usually watch Radiohead, Buckcherry, and Tokio Hotel--at least recently.
- Getting a hug after a hard day, without even needing to ask for one. Like, when my boyfriend comes up behind me, and just drapes his arms around my shoulders.
- Honesty. Communication. Trust.
- Snowy weather. Rainy weather. Just altogether gloomy, desolate, and miserable weather.
- Layering my clothing on cold days.
- The fact that cigarettes don't taste all that pleasant to me anymore, when I used to not even notice their taste / smell. Yay! For quitting. Ha.
- The occasional drink, once a year, where I lose my inhibitions and talk for hours about sappy subjects that are better left at rest.
- Etc; Under Construction.
