- Blue Velvet (David Lych, 1986) (new) - Kinda crazy, definitely Lynchian, loved Dennis Hopper and Kyle MacLachlan. Can be watched seriously or wanked enjoyably.
- True Grit (Joel & Ethan Coen, 2010) (new)(theatre) - Great, just the right amount of dust. Plus, hat trick of awesome cast!
- O Brother! Where Art Thou (Joel & Ethan Coen, 2000) - Classic & catchy! Love those bros!
- 127 Hours (Danny Boyle, 2010) (new)(theatre) - AMAZING! Intense! Great cinematography and killer use of soundtrack.
- Hot Fuzz (Edgar Wright, 2007) (new) - Can't believe I waited so long to see this. So funny, really tight transitions: "spot on!"
- Miller's Crossing (Joel & Ethan Coen, 1990) - Continuing Coen Bros marathon, what can I say? This was jsut as good as always. John Turturro is amazing in it.
- Rabbit Hole (John Cameron Mitchell, 2010) (new)(theatre) - Pretty good. Nicole Kidman is kind of terrifying when she cries, like someone stretched latex too thin over a skeleton. Still, it was decent. I had kind of hoped they took the parallel dimensions aspect more literally, but as Carla said: "Different movie, Kayt." Aaron Eckhart, Diane Weist, and Sandra Oh were great.
