As part of this challenge
- It's ok to stand up for yourself, ask for what you need, and say "no" sometimes.
- There is no set time for healing; be patient and kind to yourself and don't judge yourself for needing more time than you think you "should".
- Confide in the people you trust. You don't have to go it alone.
- Take care of your physical, mental, and spiritual well-being.
- Trust your intuition.
- Don't waste time pining for guys who really aren't that into you.
- Also, if a guy won't hold your hand in public, it's a bad sign.
- Never drink rum out in the heat.
- High school is just a blip on the radar, and unimportant in retrospect.
- Appreciate the moment, because nothing lasts forever.
- Say "I love you" often.
- You can learn something from every experience, good or bad.
- Don't let small-minded people impose their views of life onto you.
- Find kindred spirits and stick by them; you belong where you are loved, accepted, and understood.
- Yoga, meditation, dance, and kirtan are anti-depressants.
- Self-knowledge is difficult and often scary, but so worth the effort.
- Challenge yourself in order to grow.
- Everyone has a story to tell.
- You are stronger than you think you are.
