- the demons of sin are the closest thing hell has to a government, or considering how much of a pyramid scheme it's run as, a board of ceos
- each of them has a tattoo-like mark indicating their sin, but for a few other purposes as well
- Lucille is in charge, and Ira has been around since the beginning as well, whereas the rest are in reality replacements for the original demons who died (or in most of the cases, the several demons who came before them who died)
- their only real goals are to keep hell in order, and to kill god, maybe, someday, hopefully
