I cling to the fact that they should have called me and asked me my opinion before releasing the film. The following are things that I noticed about the movie that either irked me, or I really noticed. Note: I think the movie was awesome. I saw it four times, so this in no way is to tear down the movie. These are totally just things in my head that I am getting out. Note: I am an actor, and therefore, I notice a lot more things than your casual movie-goer. Some of the things are nit-picky.
- THE MEADOW SCENE: this was extremely awkward. The way Bella and Edward's bodies were positioned was incredibly awkward and unnatural. No one lays like that, first of all. It wasn't an intense scene like I think it was meant to be. Second, there was no physical contact. If they're not going to touch, fix the body positions. Have her sitting up, and him laying down on the ground staring at each other. Otherwise, have them holding hands or her laying on his chest or something.
- QUICK TRANSITION FROM "STAY AWAY" AND "I LOVE YOU": There was little build-up between the two in the movie. There should have been much more intensity played on. It was a quick jump between the two, and it was not that way in the book.
- THE SLUMP: Have you ever noticed when Edward walks off, he slumps? Aren't the vampires supposed to be graceful? This would make me assume that he would carry himself better walking off.
- CORNY LINES: The delivery of the corny lines was awkward. "What a sick, masochistic lion." "You're like my own brand of heroin."
- AWKWARD STAGE PRESENCE: Several of the scenes had awkward body positions like Bella "sleeping" and the meadow scene.
- CHARACTER PORTRAYAL: Angela is more shy than she is portrayed in the movie. Edward seems angrier in the movie. There are little things I would have tweaked with everyone, but I don't think anyone else noticed.
- ACCENT: Rob's british accent is quite noticable in certain scenes, especially when Edward decides to take Bella to meet his family.
- CLOTHING: People are wearing different clothes all of the sudden in the same scene, and then they're back in the first set of clothing. It's amusing.
