Rey has her life in order. She owns a cafe across from a prestigious university (which is convenient because she eventually wants to go back to school and get a degree.) She also has a great group of friends but it's hard being single when all your friends are happily married. She's never really been that great at relationships anyway. As the English Professor at Skywalker U, Ben Solo is not known for being the most pleasant teacher on campus. What does he have to be happy about? He doesn't really talk to his family, his only friends are his poetry books and his relationships never seem to pan out due to his inability to connect with people. When these two lonely souls meet, there is an instant...something between them. As Ben and Rey's bond grows stronger, they devise a plan so crazy that it just might work and they might never have to be alone again. In the end, they find that the only people they're fooling are themselves.
Kylo Ren didn't allow for a lot of things, except when it came to the scavenger. The leeway he afforded her was a mile long. Despite his better judgement, he'd let her do just about anything.
She beats at his walls, over and over, demanding he throw away his helmet. And then he does...
He's in her head constantly, refusing to back down on his offer to teach her, and unfortunately for Rey, Kylo Ren has never been one to give up until he gets what he wants.
Rey and Finn have been A Thing for a long time now. Since she was eighteen, to be exact. When Finn leaves on a trip to Europe for six months for work, Rey finally chases after him to Dublin to do what he seems to be putting off: propose. She wants a family, after all. The universe has different ideas. Her flights are delayed, storms hit, she loses her tickets and everything seems to be going horribly. To top it off, she ends up stranded around a rather irritating man by the name of Kylo Ren. It goes about as well as you'd expect.

“You hardly find me repulsive, little desert rat,” he said with honey on his tongue, a term that used to once make her blood boil but that she now acknowledged as a warped version of an endearment from Kylo Ren. “Or need I remind you of Takodana?” They had shared their first kiss on Takodana, in a forest very similar to the one in which he’d once taken her captive. Rey shifted weakly, trying to put some distance between their naked bodies. “That was a mistake,” she replied. “Really?” he asked, his chuckle only prolonging itself as he splayed the long fingers resting on her abdomen, pulling her closer against the proof of her irritating twitching, hard against her lower back. “Was Coruscant a mistake, too?”

“Would it have been so terrible?” he asks. “Staying?” Could we have had this? she thinks, like she always does. Non-consecutive ForceTime vignettes in the days, weeks and months after Crait.
He could still taste the remnant of his own blood in the back of his throat, iron-sharp and syrupy sweet. It was her, inside him, everything she saw and heard and tasted—all he was, bent to her the way he had been since the day they met.
