I used to think...

  • Vanilla was the absence of other flavors (chocolate, strawberry, etc.)-- not its own flavor.
  • The people laughing in the background on comedy shows were live viewers seeing the show on TV. I used to try to laugh extra loud in the TV speaker to see if I could hear myself.
  • Broccoli were mini trees.
  • The crescent moon was a toe nail.
  • All music on radio stations were performed live by the band in the studio
  • If I swallowed a seed, it would grow inside me.
  • In the alphabet, L-M-N-O-P is one letter, pronounced lemenopee or "animaaal pee".
  • Mirrors were windows to other realms/worlds.

  • In church, when everyone closed their eyes to pray, I'd look around to watch all the people praying and study their sincerity.
  • I wrote and illustrated my own stories and secretly placed them on the shelves of my school's library and book stores.
  • I slid down the stairs in a sleeping bag and made forts out of blankets and chairs.
