-Wei Wuxian is asked (under duress) to babysit a class of tiny Lan cultivators for just a few minutes. A few minutes turns into an hour, turns into two hours, turns into an impromptu literal field trip and now there's an entire class that is weeks ahead of their curriculum, their most junior disciples have apparently imprinted on Wei Wuxian like baby birds, and Lan Qiren has no one to blame but himself.
-After his impromptu (infamous) snowball class, Wei Wuxian acquires several new shadows, all of them eager for more of his brand of help with their lessons. Lan Zhan acquires a bit more competition for his husband's attention, but if it makes Wei Ying happy he can hardly complain. Lan Qiren possibly acquires more ulcers when he finally realizes where the Lan sect's youngest disciples have been sneaking off to for their study period.
-Lan Qiren has a few conversations with varying degrees of comfort. Lan Zhan does his best to assure Wei Wuxian that they can't actually be kicked out of the Cloud Recesses. Choices are presented and choices are made and the Lan clan may just never be the same.
-Wei Wuxian is preparing to officially start teaching in the Cloud Recesses. It all seems to be going well, there is no looming disaster on the horizon, nothing that needs his attention besides getting ready to be the best instructor for his students that he can.
-It is not the first discussion conference that has been held since Jin Guangyao’s downfall, but it is the largest so far. And the first one since Wei Wuxian officially started teaching the Lan clan’s novices. In an effort to encourage inter-sect alliances and friendships among even the youngest disciples,a series of friendly skill demonstrations and competitions are held, with events for all ages to participate in. To the surprise of literally no one, the Jin sect children seem to come out of the womb puffed up on pride and thinking they’re at least a little bit better than everyone. Their novice disciples are no exception. The Jin novices’ first mistake was underestimating the Lan class because most of them are a few years younger than them.
Their worst mistake was making disparaging remarks about their beloved Master Wei where Lan Xin could hear them.
-Lan Sizhui sees dead people. This becomes a constant source of strife for Lan Wangji who notices his son sees a spirit he calls "Mother".
-While babysitting Lan Sizhui, Jiang Cheng finds out about his special ghost medium powers. He reacts as anyone would react in this situation.
-Wei Wuxian is a little unnerved by this Lan disciple who keeps calling him 'Mother' and stares at him with those familiar silver eyes. Meanwhile, Lan Sizhui is frustrated that his mother doesn't seem to recognize him.
-Lan Yuan will not remember this but he was born from darkness.
-Jiang Cheng needs to head to Koi Tower to meet with Sect Leader Jin Guangyao. With Lan Wangji’s creepy ghost medium kid in tow. He can already tell that this is not going to end well.
-“Do you want to do something fun today?” Lan Sizhui asks, arms folded behind his back in a gesture of innocence. Jin Ling freezes momentarily. Unbidden, his uncle’s constant warning rings in his ears.
-Lan Wangji takes his son Lan Sizhui to the Discussion Conference hosted by the Qinghe Nie Sect. Lan Sizhui sees an opportunity to request an audience with Nie Huaisang and negotiate.
-Lan Sizhui turns to him with an offended, hurt glance. “Do you believe that I would lead us to our deaths?”
Yes, Lan Jingyi thinks dismally in the privacy of his own mind. He truly believes that Lan Sizhui would merrily and wholeheartedly lead them to their doom if it served a purpose in the grand master plan Lan Sizhui seemed to have in his head.
-"Who do you think your betrothed is?" Wei Wuxian asks, sprawling out in front of Lan Zhan and enjoying the prim thinning of his lips at the question. He shouldn't be sprawling—they're in the library, for one, and Lan Zhan is studying, for another—but he can't help himself. Wei Wuxian is a sprawler.
"I do not believe this to be of importance," Lan Zhan responds, without turning his gaze away from his book.
"What!" Wei Wuxian sits up. "How can you say that? Of course it's important! This is the person you'll be with for the rest of your life, Lan Zhan."
-Lan Wangji has a plan to make sure that Wei Wuxian is able to attend his Shiji'e wedding and it requires another wedding first.
-Death is a part of life, so is birth. The most important part is living.
Also, technically this title is a misnomer because there are no actual on-screen funerals, just two people die.
-A visit to a village with a little corpse problem leads to a little more than Wei Wuxian or Lan Wangji bargained for.
-Wei Ying saves Nie Huaisang and finds herself somehow a member of the Nie Sect.
-The story of a marriage.
-In the absence of Wei Wuxian, Lan Wangji waits.
-On partings and returns, and the things in between; a story in three night-hunts.
-Wei Wuxian draws porn of himself and his husband in his free time. Lan Wangji finds out.
-As the anniversary of his leaving seclusion approaches, Lan Wangji ponders the nature of grief and healing.
-Lan Wangji attends a discussion conference in Yunmeng with his husband. Wei Wuxian and Jiang Cheng attempt once more to put the past behind them.
-A Time Travel Fix-It where Lan Wangji goes back in time to his first fateful encounter with Wei Wuxian for a chance to rewrite history.
-When Lan Zhan goes into rut in the Xuanwu cave, Wei Ying helps him through it.
-After a minor incident puts Wei Wuxian in the gentry's cross-hairs again, Nie Huaisang comes up with a foolproof plan. He will marry Wei Wuxian and take responsibility for him, as a neutral party and sect leader. Surely Lan Zhan will have no objections to this. Everything will be fine.
-Wei Wuxian and Lan Zhan return to the Cloud Recesses after their elopement. Lan Qiren has things to say. Not every old man can accept obsolescence with dignity.
-Lan Zhan travels to Lotus Pier with his Wei Ying, Lan Jingyi, and Wen Ning, to finally have that official wedding. Jiang Cheng has Feelings he's trying very hard to work through. Lan Jingyi is more of a Lan than he thinks he is.
-It's Lan Jingyi's last night in Lotus Pier after his year of training, and he has a request of Sect Leader Jiang.
-Being an alpha in an omega's body while being pregnant with the pups of the love of your life can be rather frustrating.
Weiying learns this firsthand as he struggles to figure out what the hell has been bugging his omega since morning.
-Lan Zhan is glaring at him. That's probably fair.
The last time they'd seen each other, Wei Ying had been digging through Lan Zhan's garbage. They'd made eye contact over the shredded bags, the week's trash scattered around him like stinky, oversized Lego.
Lan Zhan's eyes had been wide with horror, and Wei Ying's had been equally wide with feigned innocence. He'd reached out slowly, maintaining the eye contact, and then flipped over the food waste bin full of onion peel and carrot skin as a distraction and slunk off into the night. Probably not his finest moment. Modern AU dragon!LWJ meets fox!WWX.
-Wei Ying's life is perfect until his heat cycle doesn't synch up with Lan Zhan's rut.
-Wei Wuxian comes into season for his first mating swim.
Lan Wangji has been waiting for this day.
-Sequel to Caviar, where Wei Ying was caught and mated by Lan Zhan.
The next step is being egg pregnant and bitching about it.
-“Others see me as the fearsome Yiling Laozu, not as the dashingly handsome young man you see before you.” Wei Wuxian wiggles his eyebrows teasingly at his husband. “No one would try anything with me, Lan-er-gege, and if they did, I would simply refuse them.”
“Mn.” Lan Wangji replies, and tightens his hold. “Really, Lan Zhan. You have nothing to be jealous over…”
or
three times lan zhan was jealous plus one time he wasn’t
-There is something called a memory ball, or Jiyi Qiu, that shows the memories of a chosen person.
In order to further incriminate the already dead Yiling Patriarch, the cultivation world decides to use this memory ball at the next Discussion Conference to show how evil the demonic cultivator can truly be.
What appears, though, truly shocks them all.
-Before Wen Chao can throw him into Yiling Burial Mounds, Lan Wangji finds Wei Wuxian.
-Wei Wuxian had never been good at keeping track of his heats, even though he'd been dealing with them for years. It was one of the many ways Jiang Yanli spoiled him too much, always warning him a couple of days ahead of time so that he'd be prepared... But he and Jiang Cheng had been in Wen territory for weeks now, and after accidentally leading a coup against Wen Chao and being left behind in a cave with Lan Wangji and the terrifying demi-xuanwu, the last thing Wei Wuxian expected was for his heat to sneak up on him now. (basically, an aboverse au where poor omega Wei Wuxian goes into heat while he and an alpha Lan Wangji are waiting for rescue in the cave.)
-Wei Ying wears a schoolgirl uniform onto the train. He lives to regret it (not).
-Wei Wuxian is happy with his new family. After all; he has a great husband, a wonderful son, and even a kind brother-in-law. But that didn't last long, not when his A-Yuan is now laid in his arms, bloodied, cold, and not breathing. Wei Wuxian could only cradle him to his chest, but A-Yuan's soul is still here.
A-Yuan's soul is strong.
All it needs is a body, and all Wei Wuxian ever wanted is a child born of him and his husband.
-Jiang Cheng thinks that Wei Wuxian would be a much better ghost hunter if he'd stop flirting with the cameraman for more than five minutes.
(The cameraman who may or may not be a demon.)
-Lan Wangji encounters a beautiful stranger during a routine night hunt. He is enchanted.
-Creating memories under the gentle snowfall of Gusu is a lot easier than one would think.
-"He closes his eyes and tries to elaborate, but no words come out. Wei Wuxian recognizes this feeling. He feels small and vulnerable, as if he is being emotionally held together only by Lan Wangji physically holding him."
