Meteorologist "Kristen Cornett" joined the 4 Warn Storm Team in October 2007, She provides the weather for News 4 for weekends, and She also provides go green reports for Tuesdays and Fridays for the 6 pm newscast, She fills in for Matt on Awake with News 4 or live in the field, helping out during Storm Mode Coverage of tracking the storms in the studio, In 1999, She earned the Seal Of Apporval from the American Meteorological Society and a member of the National Weather Association.
Kristen grew up in Lexington, Kentucky, She fascinated severe weather at an early age, Her parents drag her inside in the front porch during the storms, She also saw a tornado and stood of an eye of a hurricane, She also fascinated earthquakes and volcanoes, if she wasn't a meteorologist, She'll be a Selsmologist and a volcanologist, She went to Tates Creek High School in 1989, She graduated at Tates Creek in 1992.
She attended the University Of Kentucky where she wanted to be a doctor, if she became a broadcast meteorologist much sooner, That's now she has her fascination just that, During the Time, She earned her degree for GeoScience of emphasis in Meteorology at Mississippi State University, From there, She went to broadcasting for Local Television, Kristen started her career in 1996, She was a Weekend weather anchor at WCBI-TV in Columbus, MS, Then in 1997, She was also a weekend meteorologist at WAAY-TV in Huntsville, AL, Where she worked with Gary Dobbs and adrian gibson, She also was a weekend weather anchor at WHAS-TV in Louisville, KY in 2001.
Then from there in 2004, She was a StormTeam 5 Meteorologist at (NBC afiliate) WLWT in Cincinnati, OH, and Kristen was a Staff Meteorologist at NBC Weather Plus in March of 2006, Where she appeared on MSNBC, NBC Nightly News, Early Today, CNBC, and The Today Show.
