- A good friend said the other day that she only managed to make $50,000 last year, and then followed it with "that's not very much." ...I love her to death, but if I was able to make "only" $50 grand in a year I would be absolutely extatic. Hell, if I could merely make enough to support myself, not have to endlessly worry about how all of my basic expenses are going to be paid for and not have to dig myself deeper into debt, I would be beyond thrilled. Screw extravagance. Give me a decent enough apartment, an acting career, a car that runs, and good music to listen to and, as Jeff Spicoli would say, "I'M SET".
- Jennifer Jason Leigh is a really good actress... She was in two movies I watched this week ('The Hudsucker Proxy' and 'The Machinist') and was great in both. She's also in 'Synecdoche, New York', which I have in my possession and am very much looking forward to watching.
- Modest Mouse is really good live; they definitely exceeded my expectations. Worth every penny.
- Trying to "get yourself out there" as a young actor is really difficult when you're broke as a joke... "getting yourself out there" tends to cost a shitload of money.
- Even though it would require an insane amount of driving, I would probably be much happier living, working, and doing good local theatre in San Diego, and commuting to LA for showcases, classes, auditions etc... LA's got some good stuff to offer, but sometimes I feel so incredibly out of place here it's rediculous.
- There are far too many arrogant, talentless, pretty-boy, douchebag fucks in this city. They're in it for fame and pussy... not for the art; problem is, they're the ones that get signed, sent out, and book jobs. Haha.
- I think I've finally figured out the "type" of girl that is right for me.
- Applying for grad school next winter at NYU and Yale might be a good idea.
- Sometimes I think certain people have entirely the wrong impression about me.
- Employers who have no respect for their employees have no business being employers and do not deserve employees.
- I think when I do nice things for people, they often think that I'm doing it because I want something in return. I don't blame them, most people do do nice things for others because they want something in return. I, however, do not. I am able to derive a considerable amount of pleasure out of simply helping make someone's day. I never expect anything in return for this. Never.
- I'm really looking forward to seeing "Watchmen". It looks totally badass.
- I've found that I really don't like most people; I don't know if this is a serious problem I have or something I should take pride in.
- A lot of people I went to high school/college with have been getting engaged lately. I find this frightening; I will not be getting married any time soon, that's for damn sure.
- I'm not going to have the money to go to Coachella (which is amazing this year) at all... and that's a huge bummer :(
- If (A big "if") I'm ever forunate enough to make good money in this industry, I'm going to spoil the shit out of the people I care about every chance I get.
- Almost no one reads my damn listography, and I don't care! Haha... it's kinda like my first journal. I dig it.
